Chapter 153
The room went silent as all eyes turned toward Quiana.
Quiana looked up, slightly confused. “Me?”
Amanda nodded firmly. “Yes.”
Everyone was silent.
The show had only been recording for five days, and the training camp had been isolated and cut off from the outside world. The situation inside remained a mystery to the outsiders.
It was clear that Quiana was seen as an easy target, someone who could be easily challenged. After all, with her infamous reputation and past scandals, challenging her seemed like an effortless win.
However, that might be a wrong idea. None of the hundred trainees said a word.
Eric and the other mentors exchanged looks, unsure of how to respond. Jocelyn, cautious but direct, said directly, “Are you Sure you want to pick her?”
From the tests in the last few days, no one truly knew Quiana’s capabilities. Defeating her would be good news for them, but there was still a chance that she would win.
Amanda, however, remained firm in her resolve. “I want to challenge Quiana.”
Quiana’s gaze remained calm. Slowly, she asked, “What are we competing in?”
Amanda answered confidently, “Singing.”
Quiana sighed, then stood up and made her way down the stairs. As she passed Wendy, she handed over her music sheet. “Could you hold this for me?”
Wendy stood frozen for a moment, her gaze fixed on Quiana as she descended the stairs. The rest of the trainees watched her every move,
“Amanda is from the second generation of early idols, practically a pioneer of talent shows. Do you think Quiana can win?”
“She might be good compared to us, but compared to those early idols, she doesn’t stand a chance!”
“Looks like Quiana is going to be eliminated!”
A few girls in the corner whispered to each other, making sure their mics weren’t picking up the conversation.
When Steven asked who would perform first, Quiana said calmly, “Let her go first.”
Amanda wasted no time. She sang her debut song, a light and cheerful tune, and many of the girls in the audience joined in.
The atmosphere was lively and warm. When the song ended, Amanda, beaming with confidence, stepped aside. She approached Quiana and said, “I want to stay, so I’m sorry.”
Quiana sighed softly, grabbing the microphone and walking to the center of the stage. After a brief moment of contemplation, she decided to sing the song “Shame“. “It’s for you,” she said to Amanda in an arrogant tone.
Amanda sneered, not bothered in the slightest.
As the backing track began, Quiana’s voice broke through. “It’s raining again…

The song she had chosen was a gentle ballad. This was only her second time singing since entering the training camp, and all eyes were on her. Lucy, who clenched her fist, barely hid the nervous tension in her posture.

The moment Quiana began to sing, her beautiful voice sent shivers down everyone’s spine. Her control over her vocal range was impeccable, leaving a profound impact that resonated deeply with the audience.
The mentors were all leaning in, eyes closed, lost in the world she created with her voice.
“The world is cluttered and messy, and what a shame you met me…” The lyrics were emotional, but Quiana’s delivery added an almost grand quality to the song. Her voice, like a celestial melody, made everyone stunned.
Before the song even finished, Amanda’s face turned pale. By the time Quiana completed the song, Amanda had taken several steps back, her eyes wide with disbelief. “You… How could you sing like that?” she stammered.
Quiana glanced at her with a faint sigh. “Ms. Cooper warned you to choose another person.”
The mentors held a brief discussion. Jocelyn cast her vote for Amanda, but the others–Eric, Alex, and Ryan–voted for Quiana.
There was no doubt about it. Amanda’s challenge had failed.
All of Amanda’s hopes went in vain. She wanted to win and to stay, so she challenged Quiana to make it happen. However, she never expected that Quiana would be much stronger than she thought, and now, she was defeated by someone she had considered weak.
Amanda sniffled, held back tears, and reluctantly walked off the stage.
Quiana truly felt sorry for her, but this world was a place where the strong survived.
In the silent stillness, Quiana put down the microphone, stepped off the stage, and walked back up the stairs. She took the music sheet from Wendy’s hands and sat back in her seat at the top.
Looking calm and composed, she leaned back in her chair, legs crossed, exuding an effortless and confident attitude..
Steven snapped back to reality, quickly continuing with the program. “The next challenger is… Eleanor Lawrence.”
“Eleanor? She’s the lead singer of Bluebird Band, right?”
“Yeah! She was the lead singer of Bluebird Band, but that band broke up three years ago.”
“Is she here too? Please, don’t pick me.”
Another wave of murmurs rippled through the room. Eleanor strode onto the stage, wearing a stylish trench coat and leather pants, her hair braided into dreadlocks. At 27, she still looked youthful, exuding the same fierce energy.
