Chapter 155
Chapter 155
The entire crowd was silent.
Quiana didn’t finish her words. If she had, there was no doubt some people
feel mad and jealous.
She had just defeated two challengers in a row, and yet, she stood there so casually as if it was nothing. Her nonchalance made those girls pissed.
Steven and the other mentors exchanged glances, unable to say anything. There was no other choice but to let Quiana stand there, unbothered.
Steven said, looking at Quiana with a silent wish that she wouldn’t be picked again, “I’m sure everyone is familiar with the next challenger’s name. She’s Lynn Schumer!”
“Holy crap? Lynn? I have liked her since my childhood!”
“Seriously, how are all the challengers so strong this time?”
Strong? Didn’t Quiana just beat them both?”
As Lucy overheard the whispers around her, she couldn’t help but sneer. Whether it was Arnanda or Eleanor, she never felt certain she could win them, but Quiana did. She truly had a gift for singing, and they had all underestimated her.
Lynn was once a part of an early girl group and was the lead singer. At 31 years old, she was the oldest among the contestants. Back in the day, her pop songs had been very popular. There were even fans present in the crowd.
No one knew if Quiana had any more tricks up her sleeve. Some people were worried that Lynn, like the previous two challengers, would pick Quiana, but they didn’t know how to warn her.
Lynn scanned the crowd, and when she didn’t see Amanda or Eleanor, she hesitated for a moment. Her eyes lingered on the empty spot for Position One, and she paused for a couple of seconds.
Steven asked, “Who do you want to challenge?”
Lynn swept her gaze around again, seeming to look for someone but frowning when she couldn’t find her. Just then, a voice came from beside her.
“Are you looking for me?” The voice was cool, carrying a sense of indifference.
Lynn turned her head and was stunned by the sight of the girl standing at the far left edge of the stage, She wasn’t quite sure so she asked, “Are you Quiana?”
Quiana nodded. “Yes.”
Lynn felt that was even more beautiful than the rumors had described. However, looks weren’t enough; skill was what mattered.
Lynn said, “I’m gonna pick…”
“If you want to stay, you’d better not pick me,” Quiana interjected calmly, standing with one long leg bent casually. Her tone was calm, though her expression remained serious.
Those girls and the mentors knew that Quiana was genuinely trying to offer a kind reminder. However, to Lynn, it sounded more like a challenge, a dismissive show of arrogance.
Lynn frowned. “I…”

“Amanda and Eleanor both challenged me,” Quiana added calmly.
Amanda and Eleanor have both picked her, yet neither of them is there, which means the challenges against Quiana, right?‘ Lynn thought. Her pupils contracted, and disbelief cros
Viola scoffed, “What’s with all this act? Does Quiana really think she’ll make it to the end?”
Luna frowned. “But look at her. She’s so confident. What if…”
Lily whispered, “Do you think she might be saying that because she knows she can’t beat
They thought that it was possible. After all, Quiana wouldn’t be so kind to remind her.
Lynn sized Quiana up from head to toe, noting her casual, carefree attitude. It matched t but no substance. She pursed her lips. “I challenge you, Quiana.”
Everyone fell silent, feeling sorry for her.
Quiana sighed deeply. “What are we competing in?”
“Singing,” Lynn replied firmly.
