Chapter 3
Watching Simon and Mandy’s show, Quiana let out a chuckle, thinking. Won’t play favoritest I will wait and see they kno the mix for ages, yet they only bring me back now. Hm, interesting
Quiana accidentally caught Winona’s eye Wins stood behind Simon, Mandy, and Xavier with her head high, her f of defiance and amugness
Quians narrowed her eyes and let out a sigh. “You might be right. Even though Huge and aren’t od–related, we now p together.

“Now that I’m with you guys and his real sister doesn’t want to back to his side, I can’t help leat worry about him. He’s ly nine and can’t take care of himself, after all
Quiana tilted her head and blinked. Since you all can’t bear to part with Winona, surely out of love for her, you cald bring her brother to the Larson residence too?”
Simon retorted immediately in his heart, thinking, “Raised in the slums, how many turn out well? Bringing Qiana enough. Bringing in another, who’s not even a real Larson, would only mess up the family’s rep I can’t let that happen
Even though they favored Winona, Simon and Mandy couldn’t be expected to raise someone else’s kid. Yet they felt yuley towards Quiana, putting them in a tough spot.
Quiana raised an eyebrow and looked at Winona, smiling mischievously, “Doesn’t Ms. Larson want to meet her litte brother”
Winona gritted her teeth, glaring at Quiana with resentment, grabbed Mandy’s wrist, and cried, “Morn, if Quiana do me, I should just leave.”
Mandy comforted her. “What are you talking about? How could we ever let you go through tough times like that?”
Seeing Winona crying, Simon and Mandy felt so upset they couldn’t stand it, so they quickly comforted her in gentle tones.
“Quiana” Xavier glared at Quiana, his gaze dark and intense. “The reason you’re back at the Larson residence is because yo are my parents‘ daughter. Don’t push your luck here!”
Quiana’s eyes turned cold, and she sneered, “Oh, so you do remember that your parents daughter is me”
“You!” Xavier was at a loss for words.
“Alright!” Simon interrupted in a serious voice, looking at Quiana with pressed lips. “That kid can’t be part of the Larson family, but considering he’s Winona’s brother, we will give him some money, enough to support himself once he’s an adult.”
Quiana shrugged and said nothing, which was taken as agreement. The atmosphere grew tense again.
Mandy glanced at Quiana and said, “Quiana, let me show you your room hirst, okay?”
Quiana nodded, dragging her feet and slowly following Mandy upstairs.
The room was at the end of the third floor. It wasn’t big, with just simple furniture. Mandy smiled warmly, “It’s a bit small. but if you need anything, just let us know and we’ll get it for you.
This room used to be a storage room. Quiana looked around and chuckled softly. “It’s much bigger than the basement.”
Mandy’s smile faltered slightly and she looked a but apologetic. “The house is quite spacious, but Winona started her career in a singing competition and is planning to become an actress.
“We set up a room for her to practice in and it couldn’t be cleared out in time, so you’ll have to stay here for now.”

Quiana shrugged indifferently.
At dinner, Xavier received a call and had to leave suddenly. Sitting at the table were Simon, Mandy, and Winona. Of course, Quiana was there too.
With her long legs hooked over a chair, Quiana sat down nonchalantly, crossing her legs with an easy–going attitude. She
gave
off an aura of rebelliousness and authority, much like a boss from a street gang.
In Mandy and Simon’s eyes, Quiana’s posture was quite a mess, of no use except for her pretty face. In contrast, Winona sat with the elegance of a high–class lady, her every move exuding grace. The difference between them was like night and day.
Mandy opened her mouth a few times before finally smiling and saying, “Quiana, there’s something I need to tell you.”
Quiana rested her chin on one hand and said with a faint smile, “Go on.”
Mandy gathered her thoughts before saying. “Here’s the thing, you have a fiancé…”
Quiana’s expression paused slightly, and she raised her eyes to look at Mandy.
Mandy put on a warm smile. “This marriage was arranged when your grandfather was alive. Now that you’re back, it’s time to start planning it.”
