is was on coeption. She turned
“Il sort this out,” Alina declared, taking responsibility. As Qulana’s sole agent, she had to be on top of things, and this was no on her heel and headed off to find Jolin, the director
“Quiana, makeup someone shouted from the wings
Evelyn, quick to art, passed her script to Quiana. I’ve got this one memorized. You can glance through it while you’re getting your face done, and soak up what you can she suggested, keeping her voice calm.
Quiana frowned, grabbed the script, and ducked into the dressing room to get ready
Alina stormed over to John, who was tinkering with some gear. She kept her cool, but just Lorely. “Hey, John, what’s up with Quiana not getting her script?” she asked, her tone slurp
John glanced at her, a hint of confusion on his face. “Quiana’s script? To sure I had any assistant take care of that yesterday.”
Alina let out a sarcastic chuckle. “Yeah, well, Quiana’s still waiting on it?
His expression turmed serious as he realized the timing, “Wait, what? We’re about to roll cameras” He spun around and hollered, “Jack, you didn’t pet Quiana her script?”
Jack’s face went white as he suddenly remembered. “Oh man, I totally spaced it. I was so caught up yesterday. I’m on my way to fix it now!”
“Now! You guys air – Alina was about to say more, but John was already shifting focus, walking away, “Hey, are those cameras set up yet! Where’s the supervisor?”“”“
It dawned on Alina in that instant. This was no mistake. They were trying to put Quina in her place, to give her a hard time
Alina gritted her teeth and grabbed the script from Jack. “Til take that,” she said, and then she was off, rushing to the makeup room to get Quiana her script.
The makeup on this modern set was meant to be light and unobtrusive. But there was the makeup artist, shipping powder to Quiana’s face like she was prepping a wall for paint
Quana, a fresh–faced twenty–year–old with skin so clear and features so striking that she could turn heads in Hollywood without a speck of makeup, was being buried under layers of the stuff,
Alina, brow furrower, couldn’t hold back. “Her skin’s perfect, and she’s playing a CEO–sharp, commanding. This much powder is overkill, don’t you think?” she asked, her tone suggesting she knew the answer
Wendar, the makeup artist shot her a look that said, “I dare you” “Feel free to jump in if you think you can do better, the resoned, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Alina felt the sting of that remark, sensing a crew–wide blas against Quiaru.
Wendie was basking in her own linde victory when Quiana’s land clampeil down on hers. Qulina sneered, her voice slicing through the air like ice.
“Ill take it from here.”
Wendir blinked, a scoff escaping her lips. “Suit yourself.
- But don’t come crying to me when you’re not camera–ready,”
The crew was well aware of the tension between Quiana and Winona, the Larson family’s golden girl with Keith’s backing-
Quiana’s fance was on shaky ground, and everyone knew it. Wendie, not thrilled with her assignment, was looking for a way out. And now she had her excuse.
Alitu, sering this, threw the script down in frustration. “This is ridiculous. It’s like the whole crew’s gunning for your
Qusana, mulotasking with a makeup remover and the script, responded with a casual shrug and a hint of arrogance. “That’s the price of being the bast. Envy comes with the territory”
Alina admired her attitude but couldn’t help but plead, “Now that you’re back in the limelight, can you just focus on being the star you were born to be! Leave the side huule behind?
With a nonchalant “Oh,” Quiana scanned the script, picked up a lipstick, and started applying it with the case of someone who knew her way a

a makeup kit
“Hurry it up in there!” a voice called from outside. Quiana tossed the script aside and switched into her outfit, ready to take on the world.
Quiana stepped out, looking like a million bucks but without trying too hard.
Her hair was sleekly pulled back, sunglasses on trend, and a pop of red lips against her sharp white suit. The jacket was casually tossed over one shoulder, and she strutted in black stilettos
She had this cool, collected vibe, one hand in her pocket, the other idly spinning her phone. She didn’t need diamonds to scream elegance–she had that down to a science.
The second she appeared, she became the center of attention, drawing gasps and wide–eyed stares.
“Is that Quiana” someone asked, disbelief tingeing their voice.
“Did she just walk off the set of Selina!” another whispered, clearly impressed.
Winona’s eyes flickered with a hins of envy. She shot a dark glance at Wendie, her voice tight, “You’re the one who did her makeup, right?“.
vendie quickly shook her head, speaking low, “I tried to make a mess of it, but she wouldn’t let me. She took over…”
