Chapter 186 Firm Decision
“All right. I’ll help. Jace nodded readily.

I hesitated for a moment, grappling with the humiliation of having to expose infidelity, but ultimately decided that Jace was my best option. He was temporary, only working at the company for two months before returning to Sylvania, and as his creditor. I could insist he keep this confidential.
“I need to catch them in the act at the airport, I revealed after a pause.
Jace looked surprised “Ms. Mayfield, are you having troubles in your marriage?”
That’s not your concern. Just focus on observing Shawn at the airport and send me updates on his movements.” I instructed sharply
“Understood.” Jace responded, clearly sympathetic but respecting my wishes.
The airport parking lot was vast, and after circling a few times, I spotted Shawn’s Bentley.
He was indeed here.
Per my directions, Jace headed to the departure gates to discreetly take photos.
Sitting in my car, I felt a mix of anxiety and anticipation, eager for any conclusive evidence.
According to the flight schedule, Susanna and Yuna were due to arrive around five.
Right on time, Jace sent over several videos
In them. Shawn was seen holding a bouquet and a bag presumably filled with toys, looking quite conspicuous in casual attire and sunglasses, flanked by a driver and an assistant.
The third video revealed Susanna and Yuna’s arrival, and there was Queena, also in sunglasses, joining them.
Shawn’s bouquet was clearly meant for Susanna, but after she took a sniff and smiled, she passed it to Queena, who accepted it with a grin.
Yuna, holding Queena’s hand, skipped alongside her, obviously enjoying the moment.
They then walked together towards the parking lot, and the video ended there.
Another video from Jace followed, capturing Shawn and Queena in a more private conversation away from Susanna and
Yuna.
Queena appeared emotional, reaching out to hug Shawn, but he stepped back, maintaining his distance. She eventually turned away, wiping tears from her eyes, clearly distressed.
The video stopped there.
I expected that was all, but another video popped up, showing Shawn rejoining Susanna and Yuna, and the trio headed towards their car.
It looked like Shawn had not left with Queena after all.
Jace got back into the car, a grin on his face. “Ms. Mayfield, are the videos to your satisfaction?”
“They’re clear, thank you,” I responded, slightly disappointed.
There was no footage of Shawn and Queena alone together, which would have been damning evidence.

Although Jace had not captured anything explicitly incriminating, the footage of Shawn picking up Queena was suspect enough. It was clear there was still something between them.
Later, Shawn called.
1 ignored the call, prompting him to text me, asking where I was and still wanting to meet for dinner, insisting that Yuna
wanted to see me.
I knew I could not avoid him forever.
So. I agreed to dinner.
Before getting out of the car, Jace suggested, “Ms. Mayfield, maybe I shouldn’t take the money from you. I’ll ask my great- uncle instead, he should have some.
That reminded me that Jace had mentioned his great–uncle lived in my affluent neighborhood. “All right, but if you’re short, I can still help. I assured him.
Jace exited the car, and I headed to the restaurant Shawn had directed me to.
When I arrived, Yuna ran up and hugged me enthusiastically, looking up with a big smile. “Mommy, it’s been so long! Did
you miss me?”
Her question caught me off guard; this child was so eager for affection, despite already receiving plenty from Queena. “Let’s eat. I replied, keeping my tone neutral.
Yuna’s smile faltered a bit, but she did not make a scene like she might have in the
Inside the restaurant, Susanna’s demeanor was less than welcoming.

past.
Her response was sharp. “Do you still consider me your mother–in–law? You’re about to divorce Shawn, so don’t call me by Iny name anymore.”
“Understood, Ms. Lawrence, I corrected myself promptly, which seemed to sour her mood further.
Shawn, catching the change in titles, looked taken aback.
“Look at her attitude,” Susanna snapped, her initial attempts at mediation shifting towards advocating for a swift separation. “It’s clear she doesn’t want to be with you anymore. You two need to resolve this quickly.”
Shawn turned to me, his expression troubled. “Tiffany, don’t be so rigid. Mom is just looking out for us.”
I was not in the mood to debate him. His reluctance to finalize the divorce was wearing on me, but my decision was firm.
