This scar would never heal
Afew minutes later, Fraser walked out of the estate.
Mirabel silently watched him for a moment before suddenly raising her hand to show him the bracelet on her wrist. “This is the one you made for me with your own hands, but today, I noticed it’s faded. Fraser, do you think your love for me will fade too?
“How could it” Fraser’s expression was sincere as he took her hand and kissed it with utmost devotion. “My love for you will only grow stronger each day!”
Mirabel pave a vague smile.
He loved her, yet still deceived and played with her?
She had planned to leave quietly, but now, she had changed her mind
She was going to take revenge on Fraser for being indecisive, for fooling her for two years.
She was going to get back at him for not keeping his promises, for leaving her alone to suffer in p pain
She was going to avenge the love he gave her, a love that had left her with a scar that would never heal.
Mirabel wrapped her arms around him. “Fraser, I love you too. So, you need to wait for me and our child–to come back and celebrate our third wedding anniversary with you.”
“Oh, and,” she took out an envelope and placed it seriously into Fraser’s hands, “this is a gift for you. You can only open it in two days.”
Inside the envelope was the receipt for her miscarriage surgery, along with screenshots from a video sent to her by Darlena.
When the news of her plane crash reached him that afternoon, he would open the envelope. He would know that his infidelity had made her lose heart, that he had taken away the child they had both longed for, and even caused the death of his beloved wife.
She would make sure that every day of his future would be filled with i
h pain and regirt.
I’ll wait for you to come back,” Fraser said, his eyes shining with hopeful anticipation. “Honey, let me take you to the airport.”
Mirabel shook her head and retused
He had already been with her long enough on the joumey of life. For the last stretch before they parted, she didn’t want him to accompany her.
“You don’t need to, I know you’re a busy man, and someone will need you soon.
Fraser paused. Was it his imagination, or did he sense sarcasm in her words?
A wave of unease suddenly washed over him
The next moment, his phone rang. It was a message from Darlena: “Daddy, I bet you didn’t have enough fun. How about we continue after you send your Attached was a photo of Darlena wearing Mirabel’s lingerie.
Fraser’s breath hitched, and the unease in his heart was immediately replaced by the fire of desire
wife off?”
The first time he and Darlena had been together was after his parents had gotten them drunk. At that moment, he felt filthy, wishing he could all himself. But Darlena had knelt before him, begging him with no dignity at all. “Even though you ruined my family, I still love you, Fraser. Without you, I’d really die. As long as it makes you happy, I’ll do anything!”
To please him, she had no boundaries–anything from master–slave game
games to alphabet games. Fraser had seen it all.
Finally, she wore Mirabel’s clothes and said, “You can treat me like her. Anything you’re too hesitant to do to her, you can do to me.”
At that moment, the fire in Fraser’s heart had been ignited.
He had many dirty fantasies about Mirabel, but every time he got close to her, those thoughts made him feel disgusting. The fantasies would fade, leaving only a pure and devout love.
But with Darlena, he didn’t have to worry about anything. All his fantasies could be realized with her.
“Well, I won’t take you to the airport then. Be careful on the way.”
Before leaving, Mirabel took one last look at him–but all she saw was his back
She whispered, “Goodbye, Fraser never to see you again.”
A few hours later, when Fraser was in bed with Darlena at The Little Tr
Tree Hole, he received a call from his assistant.
“you’d better have a good reason for interrupting.” Fraser said, his voice tinged with annoyance.
The assistant’s voice trembled “Mr. Fraser, we just received as Madam her plane crashed as soon as in left domestic airspace, right above the ocean…”
Fraser’s pupils contracted sharply, and his blood seemed to freeze in an instant.
“You what did you say?”
