Chapter 108 The Unyielding Heir
Mike was frozen for a moment.

How could he dare to stop Mr. Graham’s plane? He was only delivering Mr. Maximus’s orders. How had that become an act of treason?
Mike pursed his lips. “I know what to do.”
In the end, Fraser stuck to his original plan and returned on Friday.
But the news quickly reached Maximus Graham, the patriarch of the Graham family.
Not long after that.
Fraser received a phone call from his grandfather, Maximus.
The old man’s voice, though aged, carried an authoritative tone.
“Fraser, Anne from the Lastesh Group is your fiancée. Her graduation ceremony is an important event. If you don’t attend, both the president of the Lastesh Group and I will be deeply disappointed.”
Fraser’s tongue pressed against his cheek as he picked up a glass of red wine from the table and took a sip. His eyes darkened, and he let out a cold laugh.
“Oh? So the arranged marriage was decided by you two old men, but it’s up to us to fulfill it? Grandpa, you’ve really mastered the art of forcing a sale.”
Maximus frowned. This unruly grandson was always a headache.
“The Graham family has built its legacy over a century. The Graham Group has reached a size unparalleled in Havenbrook. The Lastesh Group, a financial giant spanning Oblistan, is on a par with our family. This marriage is a perfect match, carefully chosen for you.”
Fraser’s voice was casual, almost dismissive. “Sounds like a great match. Why don’t you marry her yourself, Grandpa? I wouldn’t mind having a new grandmother.”
“You impertinent brat! How dare you talk like that?”
“I’ve always been like this. You know that.”
“Fraser, the marriage of the Graham family heir is not something you can take lightly.”
Fraser nonchalantly replied, “Then, Grandpa, should I let you make all the decisions for me?”
Next weekend is the Stewart family heiress’s birthday.
Every year, the Stewart family threw a big birthday party for Margaret.
But this year, the invitation list only had the name of their beloved daughter, Summer.

Outside, by the azure swimming pool, guests clinked glasses, greeted each other, whispered, or chatted in small groups.
“Why the change in the Stewart family this year? Didn’t they always throw birthday parties for Ms. Margaret?*
“The Stewart family has finally realized that their own daughter is the real treasure. A fake Phoenix can never become a real one”
“I heard that Summer secured an 1 billion investment for the Stewart Group and even managed to bring in the Belvare luxury brand, Marloux. With such a capable daughter, who wouldn’t appreciate her?”
“In short, Margaret has fallen out of favor.”
Margaret, dressed in a blue evening gown with her hair in a princess updo, stood by the door, her face pale with anger
as she listened to the guests‘ chatter. Her fists were clenched tightly, and her eyes burned with
rage.

Standing next to her, Harvey felt a pang of sadness.
If only Summer had died out there all those years ago.
Harvey tried to comfort Margaret.
“Margaret, don’t worry. Once I secure the director position, I’ll make sure that Summer is kicked out of the Stewart Group. I’ll avenge you.”
Upon hearing this, Margaret turned to face Harvey, his eyes red and filled with tears.
“Harvey, I’m not your sister anymore. Look, dad is only throwing a party for Summer this year and letting me celebrate my birthday the next day. Soon, there won’t be any place for me in the Stewart family.”
“No, in Mom’s and my hearts, you’ll always be our sister. Summer is just an outsider.”
Margaret’s tears fell. “But Dad doesn’t love me anymore.”
Harvey frowned, his heart aching.
The precious pearl I had cherished since childhood was now being bullied by Summer.
I would definitely avenge Margaret!
“Dad’s just confused. You know how he is. Summer secured these investments for the Stewart Group, so he’s just rewarding her as an employee.”
Margaret buried her face in Harvey’s chest and hugged him tightly.
“Harvey, will you always be by my side?”
“Always,” Harvey promised.

Summer, dressed in an elegant evening gown, sat on the sofa in her room, staring at her phone in a daze.
I thought I’d be happy today as it was my first bright birthday back at the Stewart family, but I’m really not excited
about it.
Probably because I know that none of the people outside are genuinely celebrating for me.
Looking at the cell phone, full of thoughts actually far away from the man in the sky.
