Helen thought her grandson was just joking. “At least Mia is filial. She checks in on me every day, keeps me company for tea Unlike you! I have to beg three times before you even show up. When you get married, I’ll finally have some real company.”
Fraser’s face remained emotionless. He sneered slightly. “You’ll have to wait for the next life for that.”
Helen chuckled affectionately. “Your fiancée from The Lastesh Group, Anne, is graduating soon. Who knows? Maybe by next year, it’ll happen.”
Fraser’s sharp eyes narrowed. “You mean that one who still needed a bottle when this was arranged?”
“Watch your mouth. Helen stepped forward and patted his shoulder lightly.
“Am I wrong?” Fraser let out a low scoff, filled with sarcasm. “When you all made that verbal agreement, how old was she? How old was 1? My only impression of her is that she was still on her way to weaning”
Helen felt a little dizzy listening to him. She knew Fraser had never acknowledged this so–called engagement. And now wasn’t the time to push it. She had to take it slow. For now, the most important thing was to kick away the scheming women around her grandson.
Karena stepped forward and interjected. “Madam Graham, Mr. Graham, lunch is ready. Please move to the dining room.”
The Graham family took their meals seriously. The nearly three–meter–long mahogany dining table was set to perfection. Since Maximus wasn’t home, Helen sat at the main seat.
Fraser sat directly across from her. Mia, who had been sneaking glances from the side, wanted to sit next to Fraser. She hesitated for a moment before stepping forward and choosing the seat beside Helen instead.
The table was laid out like a royal feast. The exquisite silverware was arranged nicely, from forks to spoons. Uniformed servants stood by, serving rice, pouring soup, and refilling tea.
Mia carefully picked up a king crab leg the size of her arm and used the shell cracker to delicately extract the meat, placing it onto a white porcelain dish.
She first placed some on Helen’s plate, then used the opportunity to stand up and place a serving into Fraser’s blue–and–white porcelain bowl.
“Fraser, try this. The king crab was flown in from Oblistan today. The meat is at its freshest in this season.”
Just as she finished placing it down, the next second, Fraser picked up his spoon and tossed the crab meat onto the table. His voice was flat. “I’m allergic to crab.”
He lifted his chin at a nearby servant. The Graham family’s staff was well–trained. Immediately, a fresh bowl of rice was placed respectfully in front of him.
Mia’s face flushed red. Her grip on her fork tightened, turning her knuckles white.
Helen frowned, thinking hard. “My dear, I remember you’ve eaten crab since you were little and never had an allergic reaction. Am I mistaken?”
Fraser leaned lazily into his chair, the corners of his lips turning into a mocking smile. “Heh. I’m not a child anymore. There are plenty of things you don’t know,”
Helen suddenly caught the cold irony in his words. Fraser had never been fond of the old Graham estate, but he had never
arried this much hostility before.
He picked up the white napkin from the table and wiped the corners of his lips. His gaze landed on Mia, which was cold and dharp

“Is that so?” Fraser’s voice was light, yet it carried an edge.

He casually tossed his napkin onto the table, stood up, and locked his eyes onto them. His voice was low as he said, “This is the first and last time. Tomorrow, have her sent back to Ameros.”
With that, he turned and strode away. His departing figure was distant and cold. At the dining table, Helen and Mia exchanged looks, and their faces turned pale.
The next day, Summer officially started work. Following the address Sienna gave her, she arrived at an old office building.
She took the elevator to the third floor. Spotting the nameplate for Aspira Design Institute, she pushed the door open and stepped inside. A young woman sitting in the lobby immediately stood up when she saw someone enter, her gaze landing on the newcomer.
Summer was dressed in a blue; mid–length button–up shirt tucked into a white pencil skirt. A thin gray belt cinched her waist. accentuating her silhouette. She carried a black Chanel bag over one shoulder, her entire aura exuding elegance and cool
composure.
“Hello, are you here to see our boss?”
Summer’s
eyes swept across the space casually. The office was about 100 square meters, with two small private offices and an open workspace.
