Summer raised her hand and waved in that direction. Fraser spotted the woman not far away, dressed in a flowing black dress with a cream–colored knit shawl draped over her shoulders. A section of her calves was exposed, and she wore low–heeled brown loafers. Without her usual heels, she looked more petite than usual. Waving her hand, she smiled gently, a sight that struck him right in the chest.
Fraser’s deep gaze flickered slightly. He smirked as he picked up his pace, taking a couple of casual yet deliberate strides forward until he was standing in front of her. Lowering his head, he locked eyes with her, his deep voice carrying a hint of amusement. “Smiling so sweetly the moment you see me? Trying to seduce me as soon as you get back?”
Summer looked up, meeting Fraser’s eyes, which held an almost teasing look. “Which eye of yours saw me seducing you!”
They were standing so far apart. And with those oversized sunglasses, how could he even see clearly?
Fraser raised an eyebrow slightly. “It’s crystal clear from here.”
Summer was speechless.
The next second Fraser grabbed one of her hands and pressed it tightly against his chest. The strong and steady thumping of his heart could be felt, sending warmth through her entire body
They hadn’t seen each other for nearly a week. The heat of his touch made Summer momentarily dazed.
Just then, Mike and a few assistants, all dressed in suits, approached from behind. Summer’s face heated up immediately, and she quickly withdrew her hand as she was not used to such intimate gestures in public, especially in front of his subordinates.
Fraser arched a brow, then, lowering himself to indulge her for a moment, turned and gave a few brief instructions. Mike nodded and led the assistants away in another direction.
Once they were gone, Fraser turned back to Summer, who was still pretending to study her shoes. A mischievous smirk played at the corners of his lips as he stepped forward and gently took her hand. Without a word, he led her toward the waiting Rolls–Royce. The driver stood by the door and opened it. Once they were inside, the car started moving immediately.
Despite being a stretch Rolls–Royce, the space inside still felt somewhat confined.
Fraser leaned back lazily beside her, his presence strong. The familiar scent of his cologne filled the space, making Summer’s palms sweat slightly. So this was what people meant by “absence makes the heart grow fonder. For the first time, she truly understood the phrase
Fraser rested one hand against his forehead, tilting his head slightly to the side as his gaze landed on the woman beside him.
His tone was unhurried. “What’s the occasion today, hmm?”
Summer blinked. “What occasion?”
“You came to pick me up.
Summer deliberately acted nonchalant. “I just happened to finish work and had some time.”
“You missed me that much?” His husky voice filled the car, which sounded so sexy.
Summer’s ears turned red. She hesitated for a moment before nodding honestly.
Fraser’s fingers reached out, brushing against her earlobe. “Summer, when you’re this honest, are you hoping I’ll do something?”
A faint blush spread across her cheeks. She bit her lip and glared at him. “Then I take it back.”
Fraser chuckled softly. With a single tug. he pulled Summer into his arms. Her forehead landed right against his firm.
macular chest.

It was hard to tell whether it was her heartbeat or his, or perhaps the two had melded into one, sending an inexplicable tremor through her.
Catching sight of their reflection in the rearview mirror, Summer panicked slightly. “What are you doing? The driver is right there!”
No matter how luxurious this car was, any excessive movement in the backseat was still noticeable.
The driver, a man with a tanned complexion, silently flushed red. Despite trying to focus on the road, he couldn’t help but sneak a glance at the rearview mirror, only to meet Fraser’s cold stare. He immediately averted his eyes, sitting rigidly upright, eyes locked on the road ahead.
A moment later, the partition between the front and back seats silently rose.
“He can’t see now,” Fraser said.
Summer tried to push him away, but his lazy, amused voice came from above.
J’Im very happy that you missed me.”
Fine, be happy. But why did he have to pull me into his arms?
“Fraser, let me sit back.
“No.”
“This position is making me feel like I’ll fall over.
Fraser let out a low, satisfied laugh, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, his voice deep and dangerously seductive, “Then hold onto me.”
Summer was speechless.
The Rolls–Royce sped down the highway. Perhaps the driver was nervous, because today, he drove more smoothly than ever,
