Chapter 214 Sunshine Mall
She cried as she asked if Harvey did not love her anymore. It was only at that time that she knew Summer had kicked Harvey and Jasper out; he had no money as well.
Margaret now lived like a peasant.
She couldn’t go to the beauty salon, couldn’t go shopping, couldn’t eat expensive food. She felt like she was about to suffocate! But then, a surge of hope rose within her. As long as she got rid of Summer.
Jasper and Harvey would take back control of Stewart Group.
They would bring her back, and she would once again be the true heiress.

car pulled over by a secluded riverside. Beside them stood a large bridge, and underneath it, a few scattered beggars lay resting.
Margaret was the first to step out of the car. Yolanda followed, getting out from the passenger seat.
She had just gotten out of prison with no money and nowhere to go. She thought Margaret would take her to get something to eat and arrange a place for her to stay. She did not expect to be brought to this place instead.
But it didn’t matter. As long as she was out and Margaret was willing to see her, that was already the greatest stroke of luck.
Margaret lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and glanced at Yolanda, who was cautiously trying to get closer to her.
“Do you know why I brought you here?”
Yolanda shook her head. Suddenly, Margaret let out a wail. “I wish I could take you to a five–star restaurant for a fancy meal, book a luxurious hotel for you to stay in. But I have nothing right now! I’m drowning in debt! Soon, I might be worse off than those beggars under the bridge. Those loan sharks might even sell me off somewhere!”
Margaret wasn’t just playing the victim; she really was desperate for money. But growing up in the Stewart family, she had mastered the art of sweet–talking, of charming people. And more than anything, she knew how to make those who loved her willingly do anything for her.
“You’re my real mother. Seeing me like this, doesn’t it break your heart? Just because you didn’t strangle Summer to death back then, I’ve become this pathetic, unwanted person.”
Hearing this, Yolanda’s heart ached instantly. Her Margaret was supposed to be a princess, adored and cherished in a grand castle.
“Margaret, tell me. What do you want me to do? As long as you can go back to how you used to be, I’m willing to do anything.”
Margaret smirked disdainfully as she said each word, “If you help me get rid of Summer, I’ll be the old Margaret again. When I have money again, I’ll buy a big house for us to live in together.
She painted Yolanda a grand vision of the future.
“You really mean it? You’ll live with me?”
“Of course, but only if you take care of Summer first!”
Yolanda had raised Summer for years, so she knew exactly where her weaknesses lay.
A ruthless glint flashed across her eyes. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure she disappears without a trace.”
The next morning. Summer arrived at the office. Her secretary knocked on the door. “Ms. Stewart, the semi–annual review meeting for Sunshine Mall requires your participation.”

e didn’t see Summer. His expression darkened. “Carry on. I just happened to have time today to listen in.” Trevor said.
Summer paused for a moment.
Near the end of the meeting, the director asked Summer. “Ms. Stewart, are you satisfied with this year’s reverie plan, or do you have any suggestions?”
“No major issues.” Summer replied after a brief thought
Moving forward. Stewart Group will no longer be involved in the operations of Sunshine Mall. This year’s dividends will be fully returned to Larson Group.”
With that, she ended the call. Trevor, sitting in the meeting room, watched as the call disconnected, his eyes turning even darker. He let out a bitter laugh. She is truly heartless. She doesn’t want to hate any connection with me at all.
As he replayed everything that had happened lately, for the first time, he truly understood that Summer had really left him.
It wasn’t a bluff. It wasn’t a tactic to make him chase her. She had truly stopped loving him.
Every time he thought about this, the suffocating silence, the endless darkness, and the inescapable torment swallowed him whole
And so, he ran.
But when he heard she would be attending the Sunshine Mall meeting today…
