Fraser finished speaking and began leading Summer away.

Trevor’s eyes turned red, and he clenched his teeth, speaking slowly and deliberately, “Fraser, you’d better treat her well. If you don’t, I swear I won’t let you off.”
Fraser lifted his gaze, his eyes cold, lips curving into a mocking smile.
“You’re the last person qualified to say that to me.”
His words pierced Trevor’s heart like a blade.
If only he hadn’t trusted Peyton back then! If only he’d paid more attention to Summer’s feelings! If only he’d arrived earlier during the kidnapping!
Would things be different now?
But there were no “ifs.”
Trevor’s chest ached unbearably, his words slipping out in desperation.
“Fraser, can you honestly say you don’t care about the five years Summer and I spent together?”
Summer frowned immediately upon hearing this. “Enough! Trevor, don’t ruin the goodwill I still have left from when you saved me.”
Trevor’s eyes narrowed painfully, and he quickly apologized, “Sorry, I… didn’t mean it like that.”
Fraser looked down into Summer’s eyes, dark and unreadable.
Summer quietly returned his gaze.
In the past, they’d argued a few times over this very topic.
She wasn’t sure how Fraser would react this time.
After a short pause, Fraser spoke casually, his voice betraying no emotion, “Why would I care about something irrelevant?”
Summer’s fingers twitched slightly.
Fraser suddenly reached out, gently lifting Summer’s chin. Right in front of Trevor, he pressed his lips onto hers, boldly kissing her, claiming her sweetness openly.
Trevor stiffened, his vision blurring momentarily. Veins bulged in his neck as jealousy and anger surged through him.
Just as Trevor was about to recklessly step forward to separate them, Fraser slowly ended the kiss.

pulling back.
He gave Trevor a contemptuous smirk, openly provoking him. “You’ve already lost.”

With that, Fraser pulled Summer–still dazed from the kiss–close and strode out of there.
Inside the car.
Fraser pulled out a cigarette, spinning the lighter skillfully between his fingers. Just as the flame flickered to life, Fraser hesitated, then abruptly extinguished it, tossing both the lighter and cigarette straight out the window.
Summer sat in the passenger seat, silently observing his sharply defined profile, deep eyes, and perfectly chiseled jaw.
His expression was unreadable.
Summer softly asked, “Are you angry?”
“Hm?”
Fraser turned to look at her, eyes dark and intense, voice deepening, “Not angry.”
Jealous.
Without warning, Fraser reached out, easily pulling Summer from her seat onto his lap.
He stared intently into her beautiful eyes, not moving, his gaze filled completely with her.
After a few seconds, Fraser’s deep voice held a subtle plea, barely noticeable. “Summer, can you make room for me in your heart?”
Summer stared at his flawless face, momentarily stunned. “Make room?”
Fraser slowly licked his teeth, speaking clearly, “I want you to love me.”
Summer froze.
“1…”
Before she could finish, Fraser pressed his hand to the back of her head and kissed her deeply, murmuring softly against her lips.
“It’s fine. Even if it’s just me loving you, that’s enough.”
The air between them thickened with intimacy.
Moments later Fraser returned to his usual lazy demeanor as if the vulnerable moment earlier

He playfully pinched Summer’s delicate carlobe, his voice teasing yet seductive. “Will you stay with me tonight?”
“Consider it thanks for letting you blow off steam earlier.”
Summer knew he was referring to teaching Philip a lesson.
Suddenly, a loud clap of thunder roared outside, and dark clouds quickly gathered, promising a
storm.
Fraser glanced out the window and chuckled softly. “You said you’re afraid of thunder. Let me make it up to you for not being there that night.”
Summer remembered her follow–up checkup was scheduled for tomorrow.
Just then, her phone rang.
Summer answered.
Fraser lowered his gaze, gently playing with her fingers one by one.
Julia’s voice came through the phone, “Summer, you’re not going back to Brookhaven Estates tonight, right?”
Feeling Fraser’s touch, Summer quietly said, “Mom, it’s thundering.”
“Hmm?”
Julia glanced out the window, noticing the gathering storm.
“Should I have the driver pick you up? You’re pregnant–it’s not safe to drive yourself.”
