Chapter 303 Hidden Wounds
Someone knocked on the bedroom door from outside. Summer hung up the phone and went to open it.
She saw two uniformed servants pushing a cart inside, laden with a nutritious meal.
“Ms. Stewart, Mr. Graham sent up dinner. We’ll set it on the table,” one of the servants said.
Methodically, the servants arranged the dishes exquisitely on the table and then prepared to leave.
“Where’s Fraser?” Summer asked.
Having just witnessed a major confrontation at the Graham Mansion, the servants naturally recognized this woman as Fraser’s girlfriend.
They already treated Summer as the second lady of the Graham family.
They didn’t hide anything, replying, “He’s in a room on the second floor.”
In another room, Fraser was half–reclining on the bed, his brow furrowed, breathing rapidly and heavily as if suppressing something.
Beside him, Peter was disinfecting a wound with saline, carefully removing clotted blood with a scalpel. The Graham Mansion had established a comprehensive medical system since Maximus had been ill, complete with advanced medical equipment that allowed for simple surgeries on-
site.
After cleaning the wound, Peter applied medicine.
He then took bandages from the medical kit and wrapped them around Fraser’s shoulder, re- dressing the wound.
Having finished, Peter prepared to administer an IV.
Fraser suddenly opened his eyes. “Just bandage it; that’s enough.”
Peter frowned, “Mr. Graham, your wound is inflamed and festering. You need an IV to reduce the inflammation; simple bandaging won’t suffice.”
Fraser’s voice was emotionless. “No need, do as I say.”
Resigned, Peter set the IV back on the medical cart as Fraser started to put on a black shirt he had picked up.
Meanwhile, Summer walked up to the room and was about to knock when she heard voices inside. She paused, then pushed the door open and entered.
The smell of blood hit her immediately.

She saw Fraser’s black windbreaker on the floor.
Fraser was shirtless, his entire right shoulder wrapped in thick gauze.

Fraser hadn’t expected Summer to appear suddenly. A flicker of surprise crossed his eyes as he quickly tried to put on his shirt.
Seeing this, tears instantly welled up in Summer’s eyes, her own surprise at her tearful reaction.
“What exactly happened to your shoulder?”
Fraser pulled the shirt on, a forced smile on his lips, “You caught me. It’s just a minor injury I got by accident. This doctor is making a big deal out of it.”
Summer’s clear eyes, filled with disbelief, turned to the doctor, “What happened to his wound?”
Peter cautiously looked to Fraser, unsure whether to speak.
Summer’s voice was firm. “Speak.”
Almost reflexively, the doctor blurted out, “Mr. Graham has a knife wound.”
As the words fell, tears streamed down Summer’s cheeks.
Fraser shot a cold look in Peter’s direction. Peter immediately lowered his head, feeling as if a chill had passed through him.
Summer’s eyes, red and swollen, fixed desperately on Fraser. “Why didn’t you tell me? This is from Oblistan, isn’t it?”
Fraser sighed. He hadn’t wanted her to know; seeing her tears, although for him, hurt more than his own wound.
He looked at her intently, his voice soft and coaxing, “I told you, it’s a small injury. It’ll heal in at few days.”
Summer felt a painful swelling in her heart, the tearing sensation welling up from within continued to fall.
“I even hit you in the chest recently. Why didn’t you say anything?”
Fraser regarded the tear–blurred woman before him.
“Step outside,” he directed Peter, who quickly left the room and shut the door.

Fraser reached out to wipe her tears. “It’s already bandaged and it’s nothing serious. Stop crying. You cried earlier, you’re crying now; be careful, or you’ll cry your eyes out, and then I won’t marry you.”
“Fraser!” Summer snapped at him through her tears.
