August and Sharon were ashen–faced, blood draining from their faces as they collapsed into their. chairs in shock and fear, while the servants and family doctors present lowered their heads even further.
At that moment, it became clear to everyone that there had been a seismic shift within the Graham family–the lady of the house had changed.
Helen was promptly escorted to a room in the back of the house, where the door was closed and.. guarded by two motionless bodyguards.
Meanwhile, August and Sharon were escorted out of the Graham Mansion by the servants.
In the back seat of the stretched Rolls–Royce, Sharon and August sat with expressions that were beyond ugly–they were ferocious. Sharon clenched her fists, repeatedly pounding the dashboard, her eyes blazing with fury.
“I’m so angry! This woman isn’t just formidable, she’s enchanted Fraser and now has Helen locked up! Could it be that all of the Graham family’s assets will eventually be snatched away by this wretched woman, Summer!”
After venting, Sharon turned to August, “August! Say something! If the Graham family ends up under her control, I’d rather it be ours!”
August scoffed, “You’re upset, but what can your frustration do? You know what kind of man Fraser is!”
Sharon knew too well; Fraser appeared laid–back and casual, but beneath that demeanor, he was ruthless and heartless.
Realizing this, Sharon’s spirit deflated.
She pounded her hands in frustration, her voice weak with desperation, “Are we just going to watch Aunt Helen be imprisoned and this woman take over the Graham family’s wealth?”
A sinister look flashed in Sharon’s eyes, “Ah! I can’t stand it! Does that woman deserve this?”
A cruel smile curled on August’s lips.
“Impossible! The annual corporate meeting of the Graham Group is coming up..
Sharon, you should meet each elder and shareholder of the Graham Group. At the meeting, they’ll put pressure on Fraser. Even if he insists on having his way, he surely can’t disregard the entire Graham Group. If that’s the case, we’ll move to another plan and let Helen take power! Aunt Helen has already lost faith in Fraser, and then, won’t our family be in control?”
Hearing this, Sharon finally felt a surge of relief, a smile breaking across her face for the first time today, “You always know what to do, August. Hahaha!”

Fraser had the servants leave. The dining room finally fell silent.
It was as if the recent turbulence had never happened.
Now, it was just Summer and Fraser alone.
Thinking about the harsh words she had blurted out carlier, Summer felt uneasy and stood up from her chair, “I… I need to head to the office.”
As she turned and was about to step away, Fraser’s hand swiftly encircled her slender waist and pulled her down onto his lap, enveloping her in his strong embrace.
He picked up a bowl of bird’s nest soup from the table, his posture regal as he spoon–fed her.
“You haven’t eaten anything yet. Have some breakfast before you go.”
Summer took the soup spooned to her lips and after finishing, glanced up at him briefly.
His handsome face remained calm, his long eyelashes casting a shadow over his deep, obsidian- like eyes, as if nothing had happened.
Fraser caught her cautious gaze, his voice casual but deep, “What, is there something on my face that you keep staring at?”
Summer looked away, her mind replaying her earlier words.
Now I’ve really cemented myself as the woman who climbed the ranks by leveraging her child.
Thinking it over, she felt the need to explain.
