Summer’s cheeks flushed, knowing Fraser was hardly ever serious..

Francis chuckled cautiously, “Undoubtedly, Ms. Stewart is beautiful, but the world is full of pretty girls.”
Fraser’s eyes sparkled like stars, his tone unusually solemn, “Her smile is beautiful, so beautiful it makes the world seem worthwhile.”
After the interview, Fraser was surrounded by the senior executives of “The Insider Report.”
They clamored around him, eager to make an acquaintance and possibly gain an insider’s edge.
As Summer exited the restroom and approached the interview area, she noticed Lucas standing rigidly by the exit, seemingly waiting for her.
She thought for a moment and then walked over to him.
Lucas, noticing her approach, spoke with a hint of apology, “Sorry for the trouble today.”
“You were just concerned about me.”
“Summer.” Lucas‘ voice deepened as he suddenly called out her name.
Summer looked up, her gaze crashing into Lucas‘ ocean–deep eyes, filled with unspoken words.
She quickly looked away.
Lucas‘ gaze remained fixed on her, his voice soft, “Are you really getting married?”
Summer knew he was referring to the Graham Group’s official announcement about her and Fraser’s upcoming wedding.
“If nothing unexpected happens, yes,” she replied lightly.
Lucas smiled, though his smile was tinged with bitterness, “You’re not going abroad then?”
Summer didn’t respond; that was her private business,
Seeing her reluctance to discuss it, Lucas didn’t press further.
“If there’s anything you need help with, Summer, you can always talk to me.”
“Thank you, Mr. Lucas.”
Lucas, not quite ready to give up, ventured one last question, “I have to ask one last thing. If Fraser wasn’t in the picture, would… would you like me?”

Lucas‘ eyes filled with a lonely sadness, his expression wounded, “Okay, I understand the answer”
Not far away, Fraser, who had been encircled by a group of people, spotted the intimate conversation between the man and woman.
He immediately left “The Insider Report’s” executives and approached them.
Suddenly, Summer felt someone wrap their arms around her waist from behind, dominantly.
She turned slightly and saw Fraser’s handsome face.
Fraser’s cold gaze swept over Lucas, then softened as he looked down at Summer, “What are you two talking about?”
Fraser hadn’t forgotten that it was this man who had taken Summer away last time.
Lucas, facing Fraser’s hostile glare, couldn’t help but say, “Fraser, I didn’t lose to you; I lost to Summer.”
“Is that so?”
Fraser’s lips curled into a disdainful smirk.
“Even though you’ve helped her, I’d still prefer if you kept your distance, okay?”
Summer elbowed him in the chest, slightly embarrassed, “He’s just a bit irritable; don’t mind him.”
Fraser was slightly annoyed. He’s irritable? And this damn Lucas is gentle?
Tonight he’d show her just how ‘gentle‘ he could be!
Fraser met Summer’s clear, slightly reproachful gaze.
His irritation vanished in an instant. Fine! Happy wife, happy life!
Lucas exchanged a few more words with Summer before turning and walking away.
Fraser coldly watched his retreating figure, then wrapped his arms tighter around Summer, pulling her close so they were face to face.
Fraser looked down into her eyes, his voice full of jealousy, “From now on, you’re not allowed to
smile at other men.”
Hearing this, Summer blinked her clear eyes, retorting, “Was I smiling?”
Hmm!” Fraser hummed, pulling his lips into an upward curve, mimicking Summer’s usual
smile.
“Like this!”

“So should I just purse my lips and look serious when talking to every man? Others might think.
I’m a monster.”
Fraser’s lips twitched into a smirk, “That might actually be a good idea.”
If it were up to him, he’d hide her away at home, away from everyone else’s eyes.
“Nuts!”
Summer wanted to leave.
They were in a public place, an interview studio. Reporters and photographers were there, along with some executives from “The Insider Report” who looked like they wanted to approach but didn’t dare to interrupt.
Summer didn’t want to be the center of attention, but she was tightly held by Fraser, unable to
move.
Fraser’s eyes bore into hers, deepening as he said, “Do you remember what you owe me?”
