Chapter 331 A Misunderstanding

Although the staff were well–behaved and didn’t dare to look around improperly, Summer still felt a little embarrassed.
Fraser’s dark eyes gleamed as his grip on her wrist loosened, shifting to hold her hand instead. His thumb brushed lightly over her fingertips before slowly interlacing her fingers. His voice was lazy yet seductive. “What are you afraid of? You’re the master of this house.”
Summer was speechless.
Arguing with him about such things was pointless, so she simply changed the subject.
“I remember you’ve known Xavier for a long time. What’s his outlook like–especially when it comes to relationships?”
Xavier again?
This woman had just returned and had already been chatting nonstop with me, her ever with admiration. And now she was asking me about Xavier?
practically sparkling
Fraser’s mood soured, his tone laced with irritation. “Why are you asking about him?”
Even though Yvette was fearless when it came to love, I still wanted a full understanding of whether Xavier is suitable to be a boyfriend or not. And since Fraser was his best friend, he would know best.
She tugged lightly at his arm, her voice sweet and coaxing. “Just tell me, okay?”
Now she was seducing me for the sake of another man?
From now on, Xavier was banned from setting foot here!
Fraser didn’t even blink. “He’s a playboy.”
Summer’s eyes
widened. “No way!”
If that was true, Yvette was in trouble!
Fraser mercilessly piled on. “Smooth–talking, unfaithful, irresponsible–a certified scumbag.”
The more Summer listened, the more something felt off.
Then Fraser added in a smug, lazy tone, “So you don’t need to know about other men. Just focus
on me.”
Only then did Summer realize Fraser had misunderstood.
She nearly fainted from exasperation.

Hearing this. Fraser relaxed, his expression returning to normal. Not a trace of guilt remained for his earlier slander.
Then he’s quite passable.”
Summer frowned. “What do you mean, passable? Explain…. clearly.”
Even if it was for someone else’s sake, Fraser didn’t like hearing Summer talk about other men His possessiveness over her was overwhelming.
Suddenly, he reached out, cupped the back of her head, and kissed her, swallowing the rest of her words.
The faint taste of coffee and his masculine scent enveloped her.
Their bodies pressed close, the air between them thick with intimacy.
Summer didn’t resist. Instead, she wrapped her arms around his neck, responding to his kiss with unexpected tenderness.
Feeling her initiative, Fraser’s gaze darkened.
When Summer pulled back slightly and opened her eyes, she was met with his deep, dangerous
stare.
Realizing he had witnessed her wholehearted participation, her cheeks burned with embarrassment.
Annoyed, she huffed, “Didn’t you say we’re supposed to close our eyes when kissing? Why didn’t you?”
Fraser’s eyes gleamed as he traced her slightly swollen lips, a faint, amused smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. His low voice was laced with indulgence. “Fine, I’ll close them.”
Summer was speechless.
She turned her face away. “No more kissing!”
Seeing the pink tint even reaching her ears, Fraser let out a deep, rumbling laugh. He lowered his voice to coax her. “I was wrong. I shouldn’t have watched you kiss me. I should’ve kept my eyes. shut, okay? How about this–I’ll kiss you, and you can stare at me the whole time.”
His teasing words made Summer’s entire neck flush. “No!”
Just then, Fraser’s phone rang.
Summer tried to stand up from his lap, but his arm tightened around her waist, keeping her in place as he answered the call.

As she studied his handsome face up close–his long lashes, deep–set eyes, the faint dimple that appeared when he smiled–she realized something.
For a long time now, no matter when I turned around, he had always been there behind me, never leaving.
Today, Yvette’s encouragement to confess had stuck with me.
I want to find the right moment.
I will tell Fraser everything.
And if… if he ended up angry with me…
Well, I’d just use the baby to soften his heart.
Surely, for the child’s sake, hed forgive me….
Lost in thought, she didn’t notice Fraser had already hung up until his lazy voice sounded above
her.
“Come with me later to the birthday banquet for Granthera Bank’s former chairman?”
