Summer blinked. “Even if I really wore that sexy dress out?”

Without waiting for an answer, he pulled her onto his lap, his hand sliding under her skirt without restraint.
“Ah–That tickles!”
“Still daring to provoke me, hm?” Fraser asked.
“I won’t–I won’t! Fraser, if you keep going, I’ll… I’ll get mad!”
After some playful wrestling, Summer finally settled on a black gown.
Her baby bump wasn’t usually noticeable, but a fitted dress would still reveal a slight curve.
This particular black gown had a strapless, sweetheart neckline, crafted from the finest satin, with layers of cascading ruffles that swayed like ocean waves.
When Summer wore it, she looked like an enchanting spirit–mysterious yet irresistibly alluring.
Her fair skin contrasted beautifully against the dark fabric, making her appear even more delicate, as if begging to be touched.
When she stepped out of the dressing room, Fraser’s gaze darkened as he raked his eyes over her -slowly, deliberately–starting from her head, trailing down, then back up again before finally settling on her face.
Summer fidgeted under his scrutiny. “Does it… not look good?”
His eyes burned with a barely restrained intensity as he leaned in, his breath hot against her ear.
“You’re so beautiful that I want to hide you away.”

A red carpet stretched like a river from the entrance all the way into the heart of the venue.
When Summer walked in arm–in–arm with Fraser, a ripple of murmurs spread through the crowd.
All eyes instantly locked onto them–first on Fraser, then slowly shifting to the woman beside
him.
Tonight, Fraser wore a meticulously tailored three–piece black suit, a sleek tie completing the ensemble. His noble bearing made him stand out like royalty among commoners.
Summer, however, felt uneasy under the weight of so many stares.
Fraser paused, glancing down at her. “What’s wrong?”
She tugged his hand lightly. “Do you not notice how those women are practically undressing you with their eyes?”
Fraser lazily swept his sharp gaze across the room before smirking. “And I don’t like how those men are staring at you. So stick close to me. Don’t wander off.”
Wouldn’t want someone stealing you away.

Summer was thirsty, so she accepted it. “Thank you.”
Fraser’s dark eyes lingered on her before flicking indifferently to Daniel.
“Send another copy of that project proposal to my assistant.”
