Chapter 348 I’ll Leave the World With You
When Mike arrived, he saw Fraser sitting there, frozen in time. His face was streaked with dried tears, his bloodied fists hanging at his sides, completely numb. He was oblivious to the pain and oblivious to everything around him.
If not for the faint rise and fall of his chest, Mike would have thought he had frozen solid
well.
He stepped forward and respectfully reported, “Mr. Graham, we’ve reviewed the surveillance footage. Your wife was lured into the storage room using Merry as bait. Then, the ice cellar door was deliberately opened. The culprit is Morgan’s fifty–year–old nanny. She has confessed.”
Mike continued, “She said she felt sorry for Morgan being forced to apologize to Mrs. Graham during the banquet. She only wanted to teach her a lesson. She had no idea Mrs. Graham was pregnant. Her plan was to let her freeze for an hour or two before letting her out.”
Upon hearing this, Fraser’s sharp brows twitched slightly, his already chilling aura growing even colder.
Mike hesitated. “How do you want to handle this?”
After a long pause, Fraser’s bloodshot eyes turned dark and ruthless. His deep voice was eerily calm. laced with a terrifying cruelty, like a whisper from the depths of hell. “Throw her into the ice cellar. Don’t let her out.”
Mike understood instantly.
An eye for an eye.
She would die in the same cold, merciless way she had planned for Summer.
He wanted to say something, but when he saw the lifelessness in Fraser’s expression and the deathly silence surrounding him, he swallowed his words.
Nothing would matter until Summer woke up. Mike then left the hospital.
Time blurred into an agonizing eternity. At last, the doors of the emergency room slowly slid
open.
Fraser’s thick lashes trembled. His dark eyes flickered, the panic and fear in them unmistakable. His usual composure was gone.
Xavier approached, exhaustion weighing heavily on his frame. His voice was slow, steady. “Summer’s condition is somewhat stabilized. But she’s still in a critical observation period. Tonight is crucial. If she wakes up, the baby will survive. But if she doesn’t…”
He did not finish the sentence..
If she didn’t wake up, everything would be gone.

unbearable longing. He gently pressed Summer’s cold, delicate hand against his own face, as if trying to warm her through sheer will.
She was so pale. Even her lips, once so soft and rosy, were now a stark, lifeless pale. No matter how tightly he held her, she remained unbearably cold.
His black eyes were locked onto her still face. He spoke in suppressed emotion, “I haven’t even proposed yet. Aren’t you curious about how I’d do it?” His voice was hoarse and bitter.
The room was deathly silent.
Summer lay motionless, her long lashes casting faint shadows over her cheeks.
Fraser let out a quiet, bitter laugh. His voice cracked. “You’re really cruel, Summer. But it’s fine. If you don’t like this world anymore, then I’ll leave it with you.”
Meanwhile, in another hospital room….
When Fraser had brought Summer to the hospital, Mike had also arranged for the unconscious Merry to be admitted.
Since she was not pregnant, her condition was not as dire. Her body temperature had returned to normal after emergency treatment. But her legs were still stiff, and her movements were slow.
Even so, she could not sit still. She had to see Summer.
She struggled to her feet and made her way toward the VIP ward.
Two towering bodyguards in black suits stood guard at the door. Merry had no choice but to stand outside, helplessly peering in.
Inside, she saw the noble and untouchable Mr. Graham sitting perfectly still by the bed.
Like a statue. His eyes never strayed from Summer, not even for a second.
Before heading to Summer’s ward, Merry had asked the doctors about Summer’s condition. Knowing that the prognosis was not good made her heart sink into a bottomless pit.
Now, seeing Summer in person. She was so pale, so lifeless. She felt like having a knife driven through her chest. Tears spilled down her face uncontrollably.
Her voice trembled with guilt and despair. “I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. If it weren’t for me, Summer wouldn’t be like this. I’m sorry… I’m so sorry… Summer, please wake up…”
Her sobs echoed down the cold hospital corridor.
Fraser remained motionless. His expression did not change. His dark, unfathomable eyes never wavered from Summer. She was the only thing in his world.
Merry took a shaky step forward. “Can I see her? Even just for a moment…”

And then, a single, merciless word fell from Fraser’s lips. “Leave.”
His voice was like an arctic wind, freezing everything in its path.
If Summer were not still lying there, if he did not know she would be angry, he would have killed her already.
The raw, murderous intent radiating from him sent a violent shiver down Merry’s spine.
