Chapter 355 Only the Dead Keep Secrets
Just then, someone knocked on the door of the beauty suite.

Sasha and Liliah immediately shut their mouths and picked up their flower teas, pretending to sip calmly.
Autumn, wearing a gray beautician’s uniform, entered with a tray of fresh fruit and red wine.
She was Morgan’s personal beautician.
Autumn set the wine on the table and poured glasses for each of them.
“Ms. Morgan, would you like a facial today or a full–body treatment?”
Morgan leaned back into the couch and cast her a disinterested glance.
“I’ll take a milk bath later. I don’t need anything right now. You can leave. And make sure no one comes in unless I call.”
Autumn nodded. “Of course, Ms. Morgan. Just let me know if you need anything.”
As she turned to leave, she discreetly pressed a small, nearly invisible recorder beneath the table with her palm before slipping out of the room.
Once she was gone, Sasha and Liliah turned back to Morgan.
Liliah leaned forward, anxious. “Morgan, what’s going on with this whole thing? How is it being handled?”
Sasha watched closely too.
After everything that happened at the Harper family’s banquet, both their parents had grounded them. And Morgan hadn’t been giving them clear answers–just vague texts and half–replies.
The past few days had been torture. They were terrified the investigation might eventually lead to them. That would be the end.
They hadn’t actually done anything. Morgan was the mastermind.
Morgan shot them a smug glance, took a drag from her cigarette, and blew out a stream of smoke, her expression growing more seductive behind the haze.
After a moment, she finally said, “My maid took the fall. She admitted to the whole thing.”
Liliah gasped. “What?!”

Morgan sneered. “That’s why she’s dead.”

Liliah’s eyes widened in horror. She was the nervous type. She’d followed Morgan in plenty of petty schemes before–but this? This was murder.
She stammered, “Y–you didn’t… Morgan, you didn’t actually kill her, did you?
Morgan thought back to that night.
She had begged the maid, who hesitated at first, but eventually agreed to take the blame.
But Morgan didn’t trust her completely.
Only the dead stay silent.
She’d been drinking, and in a moment of drunken impulse, she grabbed a fruit knife from the table and plunged it into the maid’s body.
She still remembered the look of disbelief in the maid’s eyes as she died.
Morgan felt no guilt.
That maid had once told her she loved her–said she’d die for her if needed.
So this time, Morgan had simply helped her keep her word.
She crushed the cigarette in the ashtray, her voice cold. “Yes, I killed her. If she had lived, who knows if they would’ve traced everything back to me.”
Sasha swallowed hard, her eyes darting to the table–no fruit knife in sight. She relaxed a little.
She gave Morgan a thumbs–up. “You’re ruthless.”
Morgan curled her lips into a cruel smirk. “Ruthless? What else was I supposed to do? Let everyone find out it was me who lured that bitch Summer into the warehouse and opened the freezer? It was my idea to freeze her to death.”
She snorted. “Too bad the woman and her baby made it out just fine. If she’d lost that child, maybe Fraser wouldn’t care about her anymore. Maybe he would’ve finally gotten over her. Then I’d have a shot at becoming the next Mrs. Graham.”
In another VIP beauty suite, Autumn entered and found a stunning woman seated on the sofa.
“I placed the recorder just like you asked,” she said.
Yvette looked up and smiled. “Thank you.”
She pulled a bank card from her purse and handed it to Autumn.

Yvette blinked. “What’s wrong?”

Autumn looked shy. “My whole village are your fans. You don’t have to pay me, Yvette… but could. I get your autograph?”
Yvette froze for a second. A fan?
“Of course.” She reached into her bag, preparing to sign something.
Autumn raised a finger sheepishly. “One thousand copies.”
Yvette stared. Okay, I’d rather just give her the money.
Inside the VIP hospital room, Summer and Yvette listened to the recording.
Yvette said, “Morgan is absolutely vile. She even killed the maid who raised her. We’ve got evidence now–let’s turn this over to the police and get her locked up.”
But Summer shook her head. “The Harper family is still one of the most powerful in town. Even with this recording, they might pull strings and get her out.”
