Chapter 400 The Moment Arrives.
As soon as they stepped out of the suite, Yvette felt a chill run down her spine.
The atmosphere inside hadn’t felt like a casual gathering–it had felt like a negotiation. A dangerous one.
There were at least a dozen bodyguards in that one private room alone.

“Summer, who was that guy? The way he looked at people–it was poisonous. When you refused. that drink, it looked like he was ready to kill.”
Summer calmly replied, “Fraser’s uncle.”
“Uncle? He looked straight–up insane.”
Summer was about to respond when Mike came walking up, polite as ever.
“Ma’am, Mr. Fraser asked me to arrange an escort to take you home.”
Yvette, still fuming, snapped, “I’ll take Summer back myself. Tell Fraser to stop pretending to
care.”
Summer looked at Mike, thinking for a moment. “Does Fraser have something urgent tonight?”
Mike paused, then answered honestly, “Mr. Fraser can’t leave at the moment. But please believe. me, Ma’am–he’s never once doubted or betrayed you.”
Summer nodded. “Alright. I won’t make things harder for him.”
That night, Yvette stayed at the Starlight Compound.
They lay side by side on the bed.
After hearing everything, Yvette finally understood.
“So that Brandon guy’s the one who killed Fraser’s dad? No wonder he gave me the creeps from the moment I saw him. He radiates cold–blooded danger. I felt like I’d break out in hives just standing near him. But Summer, no matter what Fraser’s reasons are, you can’t just forget what he said about you–about being a baby–making tool. That’s not something you just let go.”
As she talked, she noticed the silence next to her. She turned her head–and froze.
Summer’s forehead was drenched in cold sweat, her face pale as a sheet.
Yvette bolted upright.

Summer clutched her stomach, her face twisted in pain. “I think… I think the baby’s coming.”
Yvette threw the blanket off–and saw a huge wet patch on the sheets.
Her voice trembled in panic. “Y–Your water… it broke!”
She scrambled to call the house staff.
Thankfully, the Starlight Compound staff had been trained for this. They acted swiftly and calmly, immediately taking Summer to the nearby hospital that had already been arranged in
advance.
At the hospital.
The OB–GYN team was ready and waiting the moment they got the call.
Summer was covered in sweat, her hair clinging to her face. She bit her lip from the pain until her lips turned white.
Yvette was on the verge of tears. “You’re going to be okay, Summer. Don’t be scared. I’m calling Fraser now.”
Summer managed a weak nod, teeth clenched.
And with that, the doctors wheeled her into the delivery room.
Yvette tried to follow but was stopped by the medical staff.
Outside the operating room, the red light above the door lit up, and Yvette began to pace in frantic circles.
Her hands shaking, she fumbled through her purse for her phone and called Fraser.
The dial tone rang cold and unfeeling, over and over.
But no one answered.
She kept calling, more and more furious, until she was ready to throw the phone against the wall. Just then, Julia came rushing in.
“Where’s Summer? How is she?” she asked anxiously.
Yvette’s eyes were red as she recalled Summer trying so hard to endure the pain. “They just took her in!”
Julia scanned the area with wide, frantic eyes. “Where’s Fraser? Isn’t he supposed to be here? She’s in labor!”

Left with no other choice. Julia stepped aside, gripped the necklace around her neck, pressed her hands together, and began praying softly.

Xavier arrived not long after, having heard what happened.
But as soon as Yvette saw him, she exploded. “Summer’s about to give birth and Fraser’s missing in action! Men are all trash!”
“Okay, okay–calm down. I’ll try calling Fraser now.
Xavier pulled out his phone and dialed.
The line rang again.
Still no answer.
Yvette looked like she was about to explode from rage. “If anything happens to Summer or that baby, Fraser’s going to regret it for the rest of his life!”
Meanwhile, back in the casino suite.
Brandon slammed his phone down, his expression turning vicious.
Crash!
He kicked the table so hard it echoed through the room.
Staring down the man across from him, his voice was like a growl. “Fraser, I really underestimated you. You’ve already destroyed all my foreign assets–and now you’re trying to wipe me out here too?!”
Fraser lifted his eyes slowly, gaze calm and sharp. “Just returning the favor. Everything I learned -I learned from you.”
