Gavin was stunned, his eyes wide in shock.
In his gaze, I saw astonishment, but no regret or guilt for his betrayal–no shame for what he had done to our marriage.
Gavin’s shock quickly faded. He seemed to understand something, then turned to Karena. “Was this your doing?”
Karena didn’t answer.
Gavin gritted his teeth, fighting his anger, wrapped a towel around himself, rushed to my side, untied me, and helped me up.

“Make it right? How?”
I glared at him, my body trembling with anger and grief.
“Look, even though I’ve cheated, I won’t divorce you, Gavin said, his voice firm. His gaze softened as it landed on my stomach. “You’re carrying my child, and I won’t let my child be born into a broken family. If you want a divorce, it’ll have to wait until the child is grown.”
In the midst of my pain and fury, I couldn’t help but feel a flash of surprise.
