Everyone was stunned by the fireworks created by Niora; even the viewers in the live stream were
left in awe.
Up until the voting ended, people continued to discuss the fireworks made by Niora.
“Thank you
all for your patience. Now, we are about to announce the champion of this year’s fireworks competition,” the host’s voice echoed through the speakers. I’m sure you’ve all been waiting eagerly.”
“And the winner is…” The host paused dramatically, then continued, “the designer from Westwood Group, Niora.”
As soon as the name Niora was announced, the spotlight shifted to Clara.
All eyes turned toward her.
“Wait, it’s her?”
“Oh my god, isn’t that Mrs. Pierce from Pierce Corporation? Why is she working with Westwood Group on fireworks?”
“I can’t believe Niora is a woman. She’s never been heard of before, though.”
The crowd was in shock as they looked at Clara. They never expected a woman, let alone someone as unfamiliar as her, to create such spectacular fireworks.
Only now did Francis and Wesley realize Clara had been by their side all along.
“Niora is Mom?” Wesley looked up at Francis in shock.
He had always thought his mother was just a housewife, never imagining that she could create fireworks, let alone win a championship.
Francis was equally stunned. He had never known that Clara was capable of such a thing. She never told him she could design fireworks, and now he was learning that she was excellent at it.
Despite the shock, Wesley was overjoyed. He ran toward Clara, full of excitement.
“Mommy, I didn’t know you were so amazing! You won the championship, even better than Dad’s fireworks! You truly are my mommy!”
Clara, having grown up under the spotlight, was used to the attention and handled the situation gracefully. She smiled warmly and greeted those around her.
When she saw Wesley running toward her, she carefully received him in her arms.

But then, she began to wonder if she had been too harsh earlier. Despite everything, he still called her “Mommy.” Maybe she should just forgive him….
“Mommy, your fireworks were so beautiful, but they weren’t as good as Ms. Dawson’s. You need to try harder, okay?”
Clara’s hand froze mid–air as she stroked his head. Her smile stiffened, and her eyes turried cold.
She had been so foolish, thinking that Wesley had changed. In the end, everything was just her delusion. In his eyes, nothing she did could compare to Natalie.
What kind of son was he, really? Why did I even trying to tolerate this? To cause herself more distress?
The host’s voice continued, but the spotlight had moved elsewhere.
The surroundings returned to darkness as Clara pushed Wesley away. Her gaze was icy, and she spoke in a low voice, “I told you before, I’m not your mom.”
Wesley, taken completely by surprise, stumbled backward and fell to the ground.
Francis, who had been walking over to them, saw Clara push Wesley and immediately rushed to his son’s side. He knelt down to help Wesley up, checking if he was hurt.
Wesley, still dazed, finally snapped back to reality when he heard his father’s voice. He began to cry, “Daddy… It hurts; Mommy pushed me! Mommy’s a bad mom! I don’t want her anymore!”
“Wesley, don’t cry. It was wrong for Mommy to push you,” Francis comforted, relieved that his son was not injured.
His eyes turned sharp, his voice cold as he looked at Clara. “Clara, he’s your son. You won the championship, and he was happy for you. If you can’t appreciate that, fine. But pushing him? What kind of mother does that?”
Francis could not understand. Clara had always been so loving toward Wesley. Why had everything changed?
Clara, realizing that her son was not hurt, secretly exhaled in relief. She had acted in a moment of anger and had forgotten to soften the blow. Fortunately, Wesley was fine. But she would not forgive them so easily. If they thought Natalie was so great, then let them go be with her.
The competition was over, and she had plenty of time to battle them in court.
She looked at Francis and coldly scoffed, “Why does it matter to you how I act as a mother? Isn’t your behavior as a father just as questionable?”
“Clara, don’t go too far. Even if I’m not a perfect father, I would never hurt my child. They say even a tiger won’t eat its cubs. I can’t believe I was blind enough not to see what kind of person you are.” Francis fought back.
Clara raised her eyes, her smile tinged with mockery. “Blind? You didn’t see anything, yet you’re

Francis was silent for a moment, as if making up his mind. Then, he finally spoke with resolution, “If you really want a divorce, then fine. I’ll grant it.”
Clara stared at him coldly. “I hope you keep your word. Tomorrow, at 9 a.m., Bureau of Civil Affairs as soon as it opens.”

Just then, the host approached Clara from behind, and the spotlight followed her.
Clara wiped the coldness from her face, replaced it with a gentle smile, and shook hands with the host.
“Our champion seems to have a lot to say, so let’s hear her victory speech.”
Taking the microphone from the host, Clara moved closer, “Thank you, host. I honestly didn’t expect to win the championship. If it weren’t for Westwood Group giving me this opportunity, I wouldn’t have known I had this talent. I’m very grateful to Ms. Zoe for her trust and to all the staff at Westwood Group for their support. This championship is a result of everyone’s trust in me. I won’t let you down.”
