Rebecca exclaimed in shock, “Pardon?” Seduce him! As if
“Unfortunately, I’m not like those superficial men. Don’t try those tricks on me.”
Rebecca started to retort, “Go to… but before she could voice her anger, Caleb walked in suddenly with medication in hand. Seeing the two together, he looked utterly shocked,
“Oh my, seems like I’ve come at a bad time! Carry on, carry on!”
Nathan was always reserved and restrained. Even when he lost at games, he would only drink as a penalty and refused to display affection in public. Yet here he was, in such an intimate pose with Mrs. Zimmerman
Something odd seemed to have happened, how could he be so oblivious!
Caleb turned to leave.
It was then that Rebecca noticed the close position they were in and quickly stepped out of Nathan’s embrace, exclaiming with embarrassment,
“No, I almost fell, and just ended up in his arms. There’s nothing between us!”
Falling into his arms and not pushing away was a big deal for Nathan too,
Caleb, with a teasing smile, said, “Mrs. Zimmerman, there’s no need to be shy. It’s rare for Nathan to be this playful. You should take the initiative and make the most of it. Go for it!”
Rebecca was speechless. Doesn’t he understand plain language?

Caleb’s expression changed as he stared at Rebecca’s determined and slightly annoyed face. He paused, then hurried over, frightened.
“Mrs. Zimmerman, are you alright? Do you remember running on the road and almost getting hit by a car? It was just a graze, really, but you fainted from the shock. When I realized it was you, 1 called Nathan. Did you get amnesia from the hit? Oh, what would I do if you’ve lost your memory!”
Rebecca was speechless.
She understood then. This man had hit me and thought that I was Jocelyn!
Then Nathan must have thought she purposely appeared before him, which explained his words.
This misunderstanding was not her fault to bear!
Rebecca turned to Nathan, “It was Greg who hit me and brought me here. I can’t believe you’re as blind as Greg!”
Her implication was clear; she could never be seducing him!
Nathan’s handsome face suddenly turned cold.
Clearly, she was indirectly scolding him, saying he and his friends were all blind, all the same.
He scoffed coldly, “You’re claiming it wasn’t a setup? Did he hit you by accident? Should we check the surveillance to see?”
