“Ring, ring, ring–An abrupt ringtone shattered the tense silence.
Greg paused, pulling out his phone. Seeing the caller ID, he slid to answer.
“What is it? … What did you say? The investment event was moved to today? Sebastian himself will be attending? Alright, alright. I’ll get ready immediately.

Upon hearing that name, Rebecca’s heart surged with hope. “Are you going to the investment event?”
Greg ended the call and looked at her. “Yes, lucky for you, I’ll let you off for now. But..” He gave a sinister grin. “Don’t celebrate too soon. Drink this first and take care of yourself while I’m gone. When I get back, we’ll finish what we started.”

Rebecca’s throat burned with the taste of the drug Greg was a monster, collecting strange poisons and even threatening children.

“You have a sister? And your brother–in–law is Mr. Nathan? You wretched woman, did you know they’d be here and bring me on purpose? Too bad you didn’t count on your sister falling ill. They didn’t have time for you! Now, come back with me. Let’s see how I’ll deal with you!”
Rebecca’s face stung, her mind reeling in fear as Greg’s furious expression loomed over her
Desperate, she shouted after Nathan’s retreating figure, “Mr. Nathan! I’ve been kidnapped! Save me! Please!”
