Chapter 38 What Can’t Be Suppressed
After a brief moment of hesitation, Nathan still couldn’t set his mind at ease. He took out his phone and sent a text message to Mike “Have Caleb check in on Rebecca.
Mike wasn’t the least bit surprised when he received the message.
As expected, he knew Nathan couldn’t suppress it..
After sending the message, Nathan felt like something inside finally settled. He put away his phone and began chatting freely
with Sebastjan.
Because they got along well–and thanks to the adorable Marcus–Sebastian stayed for dinner.
At the sleek, modern dining table, each seat was set with refined Western dishes: snowflake wagyu steak, a platter of fresh sashimi, foie gras, French creamy soup, and a glass of red wine flown in just today. A luxurious feast, fit for high society.
Once everyone sat down. Jocelyn smiled and said. “I’m not as good as a Western restaurant. I don’t know if it tastes okay- please be understanding.”
Her graceful, poised demeanor was that of a virtuous, gentle hostess.
Marcus turned his head away, completely ignoring her.
Nathan, proud and elegant, said politely. “Thank you for the effort.
That level of formality didn’t reflect any affection–there was a sense of distant politeness between strangers?
Sebastian’s warm eyes darkened slightly. If he remembered correctly, the two of them didn’t interact like this before. And. Marcus–he hadn’t said a word to Jocelyn all day. Something about this didn’t feel right.
“Mr. Sebastian, I’m very glad Bo Group and Moore Group could establish a partnership. A toast to you,” Jocelyn said in her
soff voice.
Sebastian turned his head and looked at her under the light–beautiful and poised. He gave a faint smile and clinked glasses
with her.
Jocelyn gracefully raised her wine glass and drank. Her every movement was steeped in the poise of an elite heiress.
Sebastian’s eyes grewleven deeper. He smiled but said nothing. After leaving the villa, he sat in the car, lost in thought.
From the driver’s seat, Charles said, “Mr. Sebastian, did you feel that today’s Ms. Rebecca was kind of strange
Sebastian curled his lips. “She’s not Jocelyn”
Huh Mr. Sebastian, what do you mean by that?”
Sebastian said, “Jocelyn doesn’t drink. Her temperament is different. Look into it immediately
Charles nodded. “Yes, sir”
Soon after pulling up the information, he was stunned.
Mr. Sebastian, turns out she really isn’t Jocelyn–wait, no, she is Jocelyn, but not the one who saved Marcus and met with
before
The way he worded it sounded like a tongue twister
Sebastian cut in directly: “Just tell me everything at once.
“Ah okay Charles looked at the documents and reported everything

He handed the phone over. Sebastian stared at the photos of the two women. His handsome lips gradually tightened
He hadn’t expected that high–and–mighty Nathan had pulled off such a performance. Even more unbelievable–twin sisters who looked this identical!
But very quickly, a smile rose again in his eyes. Staring at the photos, he thought: So the girl who made him feel something wasn’t someone else’s wife after all. That was a good thing.
Rebecca had been lying at home for seven days. Her period lasted long and the flow was heavy. Every time, she had to endure a full week. Caleb had contacted her earlier, offering to come by and check on her. But how could this kind of condition be cured? She didn’t want the trouble and declined politely.
Now she’d finally made it through! She felt like a new person. She picked out a clean outfit, got up, and went to wash her hair and shower
Just after finishing, the doorbell rang.
Strange. Didn’t Natasha say she was staying with Emma at the hotel? Had she come back?
Rebecca, drying her hair, walked over and opened the door..
As the door opened, standing outside was a gentle and elegant man. He wore a white dress shirt and black slacks, graceful as jade yet steady and mature
“Mr. Mr. Sebastian? Why are you here?” Her voice couldn’t hide her surprise.
Sebastian looked at her
She had just taken a shower. Her damp hair hung loose and messy. Her skin was as fair as cream. On that delicate oval face. her black eyes were pure and dazzling, as if stars had fallen into them–so vivid and beautiful.
It was definitely her
“Mis: Rebecca, won’t you invite me in to sit?”
Oh he knew my identity now!
Rebecca froze in embarrassment, then stepped aside. “Mr. Sebastian, please come in
Sebastian smiled and stepped inside gracefully.
The apartment was a studio, decorated in soft pinks and trendy style–overflowing with girlish charm
He sat down naturally on the couch, as noble as ever
Rebecca, feeling awkward, lowered her head and walked over
“Mr. Sebastian I really apologize. Because you mistook me for my sister and had scheduled a meeting–and we couldn’t reach ber at the time–I went in her place. That was my own decision and had nothing to do with the company. Also, when we met again at the bar. I actually had the chance to explain but got busy and didn’t say anything Please don’t blame me.”
Her voice was sincere, her tone serious–like a child admitting a mistake.
Sebastian actually smiled. “Do I look that scary! Like a strict parent?”
“Ah! Not at all. You’re warm, friendly, very approachable.” Rebecca answered from the heart
Selutian frowned She even used “sir–and that wasn’t weary?

Rebecca breathed a sigh of relief and nodded immediately. “Sure! No problem! I’ve got groceries at home–I’ll cook myself. Is that okay?” She really saw him as a savior. Cooking with her own hands would show sincerity. And someone like him probably ate dinners that cost thousands–she couldn’t afford that–
Sebastian didn’t mind. He gave a light “mm”
Then have a seat, watch some TV or something. I’ll get started. It won’t take long” Rebecca happily ran into the kitchen, tied up her hair, put on an apron, and started pulling ingredients from the fridge.
Over the past few days, Natasha had stocked her fridge with fresh food every day–shrimp, fish, meat–as if she were recovering postpartum. Very generous.
She cleaned and prepared everything one by one and began cooking efficiently.
Half an hour later, she had three dishes and one soup ready.
Milky–white tofu and crucian Carp soup, spicy and hearty dry pot shrimp, tender shredded pork with baby ginger, and stir- fried seasonal greens. Each dish was colorful, fragrant, and appetizing. Simple and ordinary, but full of the warmth of home.
Sebastian had been hosted by countless people. He’d tasted rare delicacies, imperial banquets–but something so down–to- earth like this, it was his first time.
His heart stirred slightly.
Rebecca saw him silent and frowned. “What’s wrong? You don’t like it? Should I just take you out
She untied her apron, ready to go change.
to eat instead?‘
Sebastian reached out and pulled her back gently, his voice warm and smiling: “No, you’re amazing. I just haven’t had homemade food like this in a long time. It really touched me. Sit, you’ve worked hard
He elegantly and politely pulled out a chair.
Rebecca let out a breath of relief–she’d just thought he didn’t like it
just as she was about to speak–Ring–the doorbell rang again.
She said. “Sit down first, I’ll get the door.
“Mm“Sebastian responded gently.
Rebecca walked over, opened the door, and then froze–completely stunned!
Standing outside was the tall, noble man-
Nathan!
