Hudson seemed to notice. “It’s inconvenient? Oh, right. You still have to play. Just tie it around your waist.”
Hannah’s eyes brightened. She quickly wrapped the coat around her waist. Hudson coat was oversized, draping all the way down to her calves.
“Mr. Whitmore, thank you. I’ll have it cleaned and returned as soon as possible.”
Hudson had initially intended to say, No need. But at the last moment, he stopped himself and simply responded with a brief “Mm.” Then, he gestured to Tommy, signalling that he was ready to play.
Kelvin and Christian arrived at the golf course with a clear purpose. They passed the lounge and headed straight for the course.
“Hey, wait a second, isn’t that Hannah.” Kelvin’s eyes widened in surprise as he watched Hannah play. Christian followed the direction of his finger and looked over.
Hannah stood on the green, her graceful figure fully displayed. The sunlight bathed her in a golden glow, as if casting a soft filter over her. She turned slightly, her expression focused and determined. Taking aim, she swung her club with elegance and precision. The ball soared through the air in a perfect arc.
Christian felt his breath catch. A flicker of astonishment flashed through his eyes.
Ever since Hannah had been with him, she had gradually withdrawn from social circles. He knew she had excelled academically in university, winning provincial and even national awards for her various skills. But he had never paid much attention to any of it. So after all these years together, this was the first time he had ever seen her looking so sharp and commanding.
Even Kelvin couldn’t help but be impressed.
“Hannah was incredible.”
“Damn, that was a beautiful shot!”
At that moment, Hannah might not have even realized it herself, but in the eyes of others, she had already become a shining star, radiating her own brilliance.
After his initial admiration, Kelvin couldn’t help but feel a tinge of regret.
“If I had known Hannah was this impressive, we should have brought her along when negotiating with Mr. Tommy. Who knows, maybe…” As he spoke, something clicked in his mind.
“Wait a second Christian, do you think Hannah found out that you lost the project so she came rushing over to fight for you?”
“Look, she’s talking with Mr. Tommy. She’s probably pleading on your behalf.”
“Mr. Tommy looks receptive, looks like there’s hope after all.”
Christian gaze softened slightly as he looked over. It seemed Hannah truly realized her mistake but couldn’t bring herself to apologize. So instead, she found a way to solve his problem, forcing him to make the first move. He had to admit, Hannah had gotten smarter.

He lowered his gaze glancing at the gift bag in his hand. Inside was a diamond necklace worth a fortune. Once Mr. Tommy arrived to sign the contract with him, he would take the opportunity to give her the necklace.
Hasn’t she want it for so long? She would definitely be delighted.
As for Alice, he decided to only have Hannah offer a simple apology that would be enough.
The four players were drenched in sweat but in high spirits.
Tommy chuckled and said, “Mr. Whitmore, we lost to you fair and square. I accept the outcome. And considering your wrist injury, I’ll even give you an extra percentage of the profit.”
Hudson expression remained unchanged.
“Much appreciated.”
Tommy then turned his gaze toward Hannah who was wiping sweat from her forehead.
“Mr. Whitmore, I swear she looks really familiar. Her name sounds familiar too. Have I met her before?”
Hudson’s gaze turned cold. “You’ve been talking a lot lately.”
Tommy rubbed his nose. “Just curious.”
“Curiosity killed the cat.” Hudson warned.
“Alright, alright. I’ll drop it.” Tommy was in a good mood after the game and didn’t dwell on the thought.
As the four of them made their way back, they spotted Christian waiting nearby.
Hannah glanced briefly at the two men standing ahead of her. She remained indifferent, calmly brushing past Christian without a second thought. She could ignore him. But the others couldn’t.
Hudson gave him a slight nod. “Mr. Ford.”
Tommy a bit surprised, greeted him as well. “Mr. Ford is here too? Too bad I just finished my game, so I can’t play with you.”
Christian exchanged a few polite words before reaching out and grabbing Hannah as she walked past him. In front of everyone, he decided to take the first step back.
He had assumed she would be pleased, standing obediently behind him, whispering an update about the situation.
So, the moment he gripped her wrist, he spoke.
“Not playing is fine. We can always grab a drink and have a chat.”
He was certain Hannah had already smoothed things over with Tommy. Because Tommy loved golf, anyone who played well in front of him could earn some goodwill.
If I follow up at the right moment, the project’s fate was still uncertain. With that in mind, he shot a cold glance at
Hudson.
He had initially thought Hannah working at Whitmore Group was just a way to spite him. But she was smart,

she knew to infiltrate the enemy’s ranks to help him from the inside. If Hudson dared to take in Hannah, then he should be prepared to bear the consequencesone that could be devastating enough to bring down Whitmore Group!
Yet, before Christian could bask in his victory, before Tommy could even respond, Hannah yanked her hand away.
