So she carefully spoke again.
“I didn’t want to make a big scene. After all, she keeps claiming to be Mrs. Ford. I didn’t want to bring trouble to the kindergarten.”
The principal grew even angrier.
She had worked her way up from a small town through sheer effort, and she despised people who pulled strings, used connections, and threw their weight around.

The interviewer put on a grateful expression. “Thank you, Madam Freya. You’re truly kind.”
The principal didn’t soften at the compliment, keeping a stern face as she strode forward and pushed open the classroom door.
But the moment she saw what was inside, the words stuck in her throat, and her eyes widened.

Before she could finish, the sight inside nearly blinded her with its brilliance.

Every detail was vivid, lifelike.

“The interviewer told us to play with blocks here, but unfortunately, we must have bad eyesight because we couldn’t find any. All we saw was paint. Luckily, Ethan’s other talent is painting, so this was his way of showing his talent.”
The principal snapped out of her daze and finally noticed Ethan standing by the ladder.
The little boy’s face was covered in colorful paint, and his clothes were stained beyond recognition.
But his bright, clear eyes shone with sincerity, making it impossible not to like him.
“However, school and student selection go both ways. I don’t think Ethan is a good fit for your school.”
With that, Hannah waved her hand, and Ethan ran over.
“We’ll be leaving now. Goodbye.”
The interviewer had initially been shocked that they didn’t cause a scene after realizing they had been tricked. Instead, they had even decorated the room beautifully.
She had worried the principal might change her mind.
But Hannah gave up voluntarily.
Relieved, the interviewer quickly said, “In that case, I won’t keep you, Ms. Stone. We’re about to close for the day anyway.”
The principal glanced around the room, then turned to the interviewer.
She let out a cold laugh.
“Whitney, I made you an interviewer, looks like I gave you too much credit!”
Whitney Quinn was startled by the sudden reprimand. “Madam Freya, I…”
“Starting today, you’re fired!” The principal showed no mercy.
Whitney was on the verge of tears. “Madam Freya, I didn’t do anything wrong! Why am I being fired?”
The principal questioned her sharply. “You claimed they were abusing their power, refusing to leave, and forcing your hand? Maybe take another look at this room’s decorations. If she were truly causing trouble, would she have painted such soulful artwork? You clearly lack appreciation. I shouldn’t have let you interview parents in the first place. Leave now, or I’ll have the police escort you out!”
Whitney’s face went pale, and she nearly lost her footing.
Ethan, noticing this, tugged on Hannah’s hand. “Mommy, weren’t we here to showcase our talents?”
Before Hannah could respond, the principal immediately answered. “That’s right! You did an amazing job. I would love for you to join our kindergarten. Would you be willing to?”
Even though Hannah had already stated her stance, the principal still wanted to try.
“Miss, I understand you might be disappointed in our school, but I promise this was a one–time incident. Please, let’s give each other a chance.”

As for Whitney, she had long been kicked out of the school. She ran to Rebecca in tears, only to be scolded harshly for failing her task.
She thought the ordeal was over.
But before she could take a few steps, she was arrested, charged with accepting bribes at the kindergarten.
After the incident at the cafe, Rebecca often took Chester out for fine dining and had all but moved into their home.
Christian felt increasingly irritated.
A few days later, using work as an excuse, he gathered some friends for drinks.
At the club, he downed one glass after another, watching the ice swirl in the amber liquor, its movement only adding to his frustration.
Images of Hannah’s resolute expression at the cafe kept flashing through his mind.
