I sit down on the bed, so soft it has to be made from clouds and lay back before dressing, enjoying the comfort of the bed. I could stay here forever. Closing my eyes I think over the past few days. Memories of Thane rescuing me flash in my mind. His calmness in the clinic. Every time he calmed me down. Every gently word spoken. The touch of his large calloused hands soothing me. Staring into his green eyes, breathing in his pine smell. It doesn’t take long before heat pools lower abdomen and I quickly realize I am aroused. Rubbing my thighs together, trying to get some friction for my ache. I haven’t been aroused in 10 years willingly. The whole thought of it seems so foreign. I didn’t think it was at all possible after being repeatedly abused by shifters, but here on this bed, in this moment I am turned on and all I can think about is one hot, alpha. Beep. Beep. Beep. I startle and I am suddenly stop. I don’t know what I was thinking doing something like that anyway. Beep. Beep. Beep. I sit up to locate the noise and realize it is coming from the phone Thane left for me. Staring at it for a few seconds, I press on his name and realize that I may be able to figure this out pretty easily.
Thane: Hello, Little Wolf. I hope that you’ve had a good morning and I hope you ate your breakfast and got some rest, so I can give Eric a good report.
Me: Breakfast was amazing. Thank you. It was too much. I haven’t rested yet, but I did figure out the bathtub and spent most of the morning in there. Its all too much. I’m not sure I can put into words how much I appreciate it.
Thane: Words aren’t necessary Little Wolf. Just relax and rest.
Me: I will.
Thane: Good Girl.
Me: Why do you call me little wolf?
Thane: Because you’re little.
Me: You’re over 6 foot. Everyone is little to you.
Thane: Alphas need to be big. We carry a lot of weight on our shoulders. That’s why they are so muscular. I’m sure you noticed.
Me. Well, I have only met three of you and all three of you have large muscles.
Thane: Don’t bring other muscles into this. There are no other muscles Little Wolf.
Már: If you say so Thane. I think I am going to get dressed and take a nap.
Thane: Getting dressed to take a nap seems the opposite of what you should do to nap. Rest up. I will have lunch sent up to you.
