A sharp beeping sound ring out–the card declined.
“Mrs. Castro, this card isn’t working. Do you have another one?” The store clerk asked.

That’s impossible! There are a billion on that card! Tryst again” Irene snapped, her face darkening.
A high–end store’s machine was unlikely to malfunction, but the clerk still ran the card a second time. The result was the same: transaction failed.
“Mrs. Castro, this card really isn’t usable. Please provide another one.”
Irene frowned, instinctively pulling out her phone to call Xylia, only to remember she had already been
blocked.
But she still refused to believe that her once obedient former Xylia would dare pull a stunt like this. Just have everything delivered to the Castros. I’ll have Xylia come and pay for it.”
She turned to leave, but the store clerks blocked her way. They had spent ages carefully wrapping the jewelry, and now, everyone’s expressions looked rather unpleasant.
Mrs. Castro, we don’t allow purchases on credit.”
Irene almost blurted out that she didn’t want the items anymore. After all, she had only planned to spend a portion of that one billion in Xylia’s name so she could later claim Xylia was the one who paid it. She couldn’t bear to splurge so much.
But a few familiar ladies‘ voices rang out from the store entrance.
“Well, well, isn’t this Mrs. Castro? How come you can’t even afford jewelry now?”
“No way, right? The Castros are so wealthy. Surely, they wouldn’t be short on money?”
Irene swallowed the words she was about to say and forced herself to take out her private savings.
“There must be some issue with that card. Try this one instead.”
The transaction was successful. The clerk smiled. “Thank you for your purchase. We look forward to seeing you again.
Irene was fuming as she stared at the pile of jewelry before her. The more she looked at it, the angrier she became. Unable to hold back, she picked up her phone and called her son, leaving out the part where she had spent the money herself.
“Jayden, when are you getting rid of Xylia? And what about Ruby? Didn’t she promise to ensure Xylia dies soon so Yrian can inherit everything?”
At that moment, Jayden had already arrived at the hospital entrance. Hearing Irene’s complaints, he felt equally frustrated. “I want her dead too, but she somehow found herself a couple of bodyguards and won’t even stay in that ugly house her parents left her. I can’t and an opportunity.”
Irene fumed. “And where’s that wench Ruby? Didn’t she swear she’d take care of Xylia quickly? If I had known she’d be so useless, I wouldn’t have let her into ur family so easily. How should Castro Group keep

Jayden felt a flicker of resentment toward Ruby, but as he glanced down at the bouquet, he soothed his mother. “Mom, leave it to me. Xylia is stubborn and even made a scene at the research institute to see me today. She’ll lower her guard and dismiss her bodyguards if I sweet–talk her. By then, she’ll be at our mercy
again.
“You are still the most charming. I’ll be waiting for your good news,”
laden took a deep breath and stepped into the hospital, asking for Xylia’s office. But just as he reached the door, he overheard several middle–aged men chatting inside. Many of them were attendees from today’s
A young woman performing a full–body skin graft on her first surgery?”

ayden had wanted to ask Irene the same thing earlier but had been too focused on finding Xylia. Now that

Greg passed for a few seconds, then chuckled. “Everyone understands how these things work. She does

This personal conduct, and it has nothing to do with the hospital. But she hasn’t made any or 50 we won’t fire her.”
It sounder Bar Greg wasnt saying much, but simultaneously, he was saying everything.
His implicanze Xylin really did get into the hospital thanks to the Castros‘ influence.
As
Jayden smirked be expected, there was no way Xylia could have achieved her current status through
her abdines.
That skin graft surgery wasn’t it performed by Dr. Zink, who had just returned from studying abroad? Maybe Xylia was involved and just got credit for it.”
Diego Zink was 35 a well–known dermatologist at the Brighton Central Hospital.
Greg repeated himself “Everyone understands how these things work.”
Haha, Dr. Robinen, you really have it tough. Poor Dr. Zink, though.”
“I can’t stand people who pull strings to get ahead. I heard Xylia is having an affair with Castro Group’s CEO. Looks like it true. She even dures to take credit for surgeries she didn’t perform.”
Jayden just so happened to have Dreh contact info. He sent him a message, a smirk forming on his lips
Since Diego was the lead surgeon, is it be to ask him or details about the operation directly?

Jayden texted. Dr. Zink, was that full–both in grach urgery for the Celestial Leaf allergy case performed by you?”

the reception desk and handed it to a nurse.
“This is for Dr. Watson. Just tell her it’s from Jayden.”
“Okay”
The nurse was puzzled. Didn’t Jayden have a wife? Why was he giving roses to Xylia?
It could be a thank–you gift. Men always assumed women loved roses.

Xylia failed to buy what she wanted and resorted to shopping online. Retail therapy finally lifted her spirits a little. She returned to the Jackman Residence, which was practically a manor. A housekeeper drove her around the garden in a small car, taking her to a lovely gazebo in a secluded flower garden, treating her with the utmost respect. For the first time in a long while, Xylia felt like she was being treated as the lady of the house, pampered and valued.
She reminded herself not to get too attached. Everything around her belonged to the Jackmans, not her. But after working so hard for so long, she needed a break.
Leaning against the exquisitely designed pavilion, she cadn’t know when she had drifted off.
When she woke up, a soft floral fragrance filled the air Velvet petals brushed against her fingertips. As she opened her eyes, a vibrant bouquet of multicolored roses appeared.
These weren’t artificially dyed roses but naturally varied shades, carefully arranged to create a dazzling display.
“Do you like them?” Sebastian stood before her, his smile as gentle as the first breeze of spring, sending ripples through her heart.
“How long have you been standing here? You should have just woken me up.”
“Not long.” Sebastian replied. “You were sleeping so soundly, and I thought this would be a nicer way to wake up.
Xylia rubbed her nose. “Don’t do that next time. Good thing I’m not allergic to pollen, or I’d be heading straight to the hospital.”
She glanced at the setting sun.
Time for dinner. Let’s go. We shouldn’t keep Mrs. Eleanor waiting
