“Mr. Castro.”
A deep, steady voice broke the silence nearby.
Jayden’s eyes brightened as he stepped forward and extended his hand.
“Dr. Zink. I’ve long heard of your esteemed reputation

Diego shook his hand in return. “Mr, Castro, I’ve known about you for quite some time as well. I didn’t expect to meet you on my first day back in Drakoria.”
Jayden chuckled. “What a coincidence. Care to sit down and talk? I’m particularly interested in the full- body skin graft surgery you performed. We’ve already exchanged emails about it.”
Diego hesitated for a second before nodding knowingly and leading Jayden to his office.
A newly hired nurse, overhearing the conversation, tilted her head in confusion.
“Wasn’t the last skin graft surgery done by Dr. Watson a year ago?” she murmured.
Jayden briefly paused but proceeded inside without a second thought.
A flicker of guilt crossed Diego’s eyes as he shut the door. “You seem convinced that I was the one who performed that surgery, Mr. Castro.”
Jayden nodded without hesitation. “I know Dr. Watson limits. She only became chief physician because of her connections. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be the one constantly attending medical seminars on the hospital’s behalf.
There’s no one else in all of Brighton with your level of surgical expertise.”
Diego cleared his throat lightly, covering his mouth. “You flatter me, Mr. Castro.
Jayden pulled out a folder from his bag.
“Here are the complete formula and experimental results for my product. Can you take a look and offer suggestions? If any adjustments are needed, we can make them before moving forward with mass production.”
Before Diego could respond, Jayden handed him a card.
Diego accepted it calmly, flipping through the documents. A slow smile spread across his face.
“Everything seems fine. You can proceed with production.
“But someone mentioned that a patient had an allergic reaction to the Celestial Leaf
Diego remained unfazed.
That patient has an unusual physique. He reacts to inny common substances. That won’t be an issue for the general population.

Jayden exhaled in reliefjand discreetly turned off his voice recorder.

Three months passed in the blink of an eye, and Xy had gone through the busiest period.
“Dr. Watson, this batch of medicine looks promising should we consider purchasing it? Other hospitals have given positive feedback.”
“Let me see.”
Nyha was puzzled. Normally, procurement decisions werent within her responsibilities.
The doctor. Taylor, handed her a box, adding, “There was a case in Atinate where a patient had an allergic reaction to the Celestial Leaf. This ointment uses it as its main ingredient, but the issue has supposedly been resolved. If I recall correctly, you were the one who first raised concerns about it.”
Xyla immediately understood and glanced over the ingredient list.
“Our Hospital won’t be needing this.”
The company’s representative is here. He seems rather impressive. Would you like to speak with him?”
“I don’t have time, Xylia replied instinctively but hesitated. Forget it. Bring him in
Taylor nodded and stepped out.
Xylia absentmindedly spun her pen between her fingers, thinking Taylor was competent enough to deserve a raise.
The medical circle was small, and word spread quickly about the developments at the research institute. Some even speculated that Xylia was deliberately making things difficult for Jayden, the so–called research prodigy
When Jayden entered. Xylia’s expression turned icy.
Jayden, on the other hand, looked even more startled than she did. His eyes burned with intensity as he strode confidently to her desk. His gaze landed on a delicate horse figurine on the shelf and he picked it up in disbelief.
“Emberhoof? And you bought the authentic one! How dare you!”
Jayden had always been passionate about antiques, especially Emberhoof figurines. He had several in his collection, but none as exquisite as this one.
Xylia remained calm. It’s mine. If you try to steal it, don’t expect to see daylight for the next ten years
“You–Jayden caught himself, then smirked smugly You bought this to impress me, didn’t you? If you keep this up, even if you give it to me later. I won’t accept it.”
Feigning disinterest, he placed the gurine back
Before they were marned. Xyla had done everything in her power to get whatever Jayden desired. One smile from him had always made her efforts feel wohwhile. She had even begged her parents for ancient medical prescriptions for him.
