Chapter 26 Her Final Warning
Now, looking at the man before her, Xylia saw nothing out pretense.
She merely said, “Get lost.”
Jayden’s expression darkened. “Nylia, didn’t you do all of this just to get close to me?”
She frowned in confusion.

Jayden sneered. “Theard the Jackman Group has invested in this hospital. For years, my family has been trying to get them on board. Now that you’ve secured their backing, isn’t it just to prove something to me? I also heard Jackman Group handed a large number of shares to the hospital’s director. Since that’s you. everything becomes easy, doesn’t it?”
Xylia didn’t follow his logic. “And how is that supposed to be easy?”
Jayden’s excitement grew.
“Sign the hospital over to me. I’ve reviewed your hospital–this place is highly profitable. I’ll soon be taking over Castro Group, and we plan to expand into the medical sector. Owning a successful hospital would be a perfect move.
“Oh, and that Emberhoof statue? You can consider it our remarriage gift. I’ll be generous enough to let the past go and forgive you. But-”
“But what? Xylia rested her chin on her hand, lazily tracing her fingers over her lips. The absurdity of it all almost made her laugh.
Taking her response as encouragement, Jayden straightened his posture.
“But you’ll need to help Castro Group secure a deal with Jackman Group. Ideally, we’ll get the same profit sharing agreement as your hospital, with Castro Group taking the majority stake. Otherwise, you won’t have a way back.
Xylia couldn’t hold it in anymore. She burst into laughter and gave Jayden a sarcastic thumbs–up.
“You admire me?” he asked smugly.
“Absolutely.” She wiped away a tear of laughter. “I never realized you had such an active imagination. Your family doesn’t need pillows–you can dream with your eyes wide open.”
His expression hardened. “Are you saying I’m delusional?”
She stared at him coldly. “Get out. Even if you kneel and beg. I won’t give you a second glance!”
She clapped her hands. Immediately, Shadow–1 and Shadow–2 appeared, grabbing Jayden before he could
Xylia didn’t even bother to glance over. Jayden was nearly six feet tall and usually carried himself with the grace and charm of a wealthy heir. Standing next to the imposing figures of Shadow–1 and Shadow–2, he resembled a scrawny, ruffled rooster–completely lacking in presence or masculinity. He wasn’t even worthy of being compared to Sebastian,

“Nylia, you’re blinded by money! Do you even realize why the Jackman Group is working with you? It’s just a ploy to swindle that billion from you! Without it, you wouldn’t even qualify to sit as director. It’s just an empty title. Do you truly think I don’t know what you’re capable of?”
Nylia smirked, barely amused. She was about to have Shadow–1 and Shadow–2 toss him out when she suddenly recalled why she had summoned him in the first place. Her expression shifted.
Jayden, I already warned you that there are issues with your formula. Why won’t you conduct a thorough check before rushing into mass production? Do you know how many people could suffer if something
Jayden scoffed. “The only reason you ever became the chief physician at Brighton Central Hospital was because Greg had given a favor to the Castros. Your parents are close to my family, and you’ve always been treated like an adopted daughter. Without that, do you think you’d ever have made it?
“Don’t kid yourself. The only dermatologist Brighton Central Hospital truly recognizes is Diego. He’s the one with feal skills. He performed the surgery–you were just credited for it
Xylia’s expression darkened. “Did he tell you that?”
Jayden sneered. “Everyone knows. Do you truly think inflating your record with a few major surgeries will earn you respect? It just makes people look down on you even more.
“You’re just a spoiled woman. How could someone like you become chief physician at 25? Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if you slept with Greg to get there.”
Xylia stepped forward.
Smack!
Jayden’s face twisted in anger from the slap, but before he could say another word, a cloth was shoved into his mouth, and his limbs were restrained
“Ma’am, should we deal with him?” Shadow–1 asked.
Xylia paused, then decided. ‘I’ll handle it myself”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Xylia struck him several times with precise blows–just enough to leave him in excruciating pain for days without causing any real injury.
“This is your final warning–the formula can’t be sold. If you have any sense, you’ll listen to me.
“And if you cross me again, I’ll make sure you lose your manhood completely. Even the police won’t be able to figure out how it happened.”
At her signal, Shadow–1 and Shadow–2 promptly tossed Jayden out.
“Xyla, you’ll regret this! he shouted, glaring furiously.
But with a wary glance at Shadow–1 and Shadow–2, he quickly turned and fled in disgrace.
