Enjoy My Life after the Billion Dollar Divorce
Chapter 30 I Won’t Stand in the Way

Even if Xylia had one billion, the Fosters wealth far surpassed hers. The fact that she attended their banquet with bodyguards suggested that someone with even greater influence was backing her.
People couldn’t figure out how a bankrupt heiress, especially a divorced woman cast aside by the Castros, could still hold such power,
“I’m sorry for the trouble, Xylia said, addressing the graceful woman before her.
To Xylia, Vivian wasn’t a romantic rival, so she had no reason to resent her.
Since she was a guest in the Fosters‘ place, it was only right to apologize after causing a scene.
Vivian waved dismissively. “No worries. Can we talk privately?”
Xylia hesitated briefly before nodding. “Sure.”
The two moved to a quieter corner.
Once they were alone, Xylia spoke first, “Sebastian and I just have a contractual marriage. There’s nothing
more to it.”
“A contractual marriage?
“Yes. He only married me to deal with Eleanor.”
Vivian exhaled in relief. “When do you plan to divorce?
Recalling the terms of their agreement, Xylia replied, “At most, five years from now. But if he finds someone he truly loves, we can end it sooner.”
Vivian frowned. “What if you fall in love first? Can’t you leave earlier?”
Xylia assumed Vivian was worried she would cling to Sebastian. Since their contract didn’t mention it, she forced a bitter smile. “I was once married to someone loved since childhood, but he betrayed me. I don’t believe in love anymore.
“You’re still young. Maybe you don’t understand and still hold onto romantic ideals, but I don’t.”
Vivian rolled her eyes. “You’re only a year younger than me. Don’t act like you’re so mature.
Xylia felt a lump in her throat but kept quiet. A woman who had experienced marriage was different from
one who hadn’t.
Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself. “It doesn’t matter. I don’t believe in love anymore. My marriage to Sebastian is just a deal.”
Vivian’s gaze drifted to the tall man standing not far away. She spoke casually, “I know your ex–husband and his wife have tried to get rid of you. Seb made sure that didn’t happen.”
Xylia was taken aback. She hadn’t expected Vivian to know.
Then again, she had looked into Vivian’s background too. It made sense that Vivian would know about her.

And the way she called him ‘Seb–perhaps she was the one who truly belonged by his side.
After all, who wouldn’t be drawn to someone as stunning and elegant as Vivian?

“wering her gaze, Xylia said, “If you’re the one he loves, let him tell me himself. I won’t stand in the way.
don’t have to warn me
Vivian smiled faintly. “Good. Then remember–stay away from him.”
“I will.”
Xylia felt a brief pang in her chest, but she understood the distance between her and Sebastian.
Just as she turned to leave, she noticed someone approaching. Startled, she stammered, “W–when did
you…
When had he gotten here? How much had he heard?
Vivian moved toward him, closing the gap between them.
“Seb, you must have heard everything. She doesn’t even like you. But I’ve had feelings for you for years. If it’s about keeping Eleanor happy. I can do that too. Unlike Xylia, I’ve never been married.”
She glanced in a particular direction, her meaning clear to anyone listening-
Having spent years in an open–minded foreign country without ever having a boyfriend, she must have remained pure.
“Why did you tell her about our family’s private matters?
Sebastian stared at Xylia coldly. She didn’t dare meet his eyes, silently lowering her head. A sense of grievance welled up inside her, but she couldn’t defend herself.
She knew better than to cross the Jackmans or the Fosters. That was a line she couldn’t afford to cross.
She hated feeling weak, but maybe staying quiet wasn’t so bad–as long as it kept trouble away.
“Seb, we’ve known each other for so long. We’re not strangers.”
Vivian tilted her head, reaching out to rest her delicate wrist on his arm, but he avoided it.
He walked straight to the woman who kept her head down and pulled her into his arms.
Xylia was stunned, realizing what was happening. She tied to push Sebastian away, but he held her chin firmly.
His lips pressed against hers, sending a wave of hear through her. Shocked, she wanted to pull back, but he didn’t let go, deepening the kiss. Her breath hitched, her body reacting before her mind could catch up.
She wasn’t sure how long it lasted, but by the time he ally released her, she was gasping for air.
Lifting her eyes, she saw Vivian nearby, her expression lark.
The embarrassment burned deeper, but what surprise Xylia more was Vivian’s calm remark. “I’ve never kissed anyone before. Don’t you have a cleanliness nhsession? Compared to her. I’m untouched”

She also believed every man wanted a wife who had belonged to no one else–completely his, from beginning to end.
