“Yes,” Simon responded firmly. He was desperate to see Luna and explain everything to her.
After instructing Luke to book the ticket, he hurried back to the villa. He hadn’t dared to return home the previous night.
As he stepped into the house once more, he found that it was just as Jeremy had said. Everything belonging to Luna was gone.
Simon walked to the master bedroom and slowly opened the bedside drawer.
All of Luna’s documents were missing.
His heart sank as he stared at the empty room, an overwhelming wave of despair crashing
over him.
He instructed the servants to pack his luggage and had the photos of him and Luna stored on his phone printed out. He was ready to head to Naavi to win her back.
An hour later, just as Simon was about to leave for the airport, Sophie barged into the room. She threw herself into Simon’s arms and looked up at him, pleading, “You’re going to Naavi? What about me and the baby?”
Sophie had heard the news from her villa ten minutes earlier. If Simon went to Naavi, all his assets would automatically go to Luna. This was something Sophie couldn’t accept.
Simon’s face revealed a hint of struggle, his handsome features tensing.
“I’ll only be gone for a week,” he replied.
Sophie shook her head and gritted her teeth. “I’m not having the baby if you leave.” She wasn’t about to give birth to a child just to tie herself down to a penniless man.
Simon hesitated for a moment but eventually compromised. He came up with a compromise. I’ll stay with you for two months. Once the pregnancy is stable, I’ll go to Naavi to see Luna.” Pausing, he grabbed Sophie’s chin and warned, “You’d better deliver this baby safely. If anything happens, I’ll make sure your whole family pays the price.”
Sophie felt a chill run down her spine when she saw the cold, ruthless glint in Simon’s eyes.
