In the evening, a black sedan drove into the villa area and stopped in front of Sophie’s villa.
After a young man got out of the front passenger seat, the sedan immediately drove out of the villa area.
The man lit a cigarette and swaggered inside.
He was dressed in a blue denim outfit, his face delicate with a touch of unruliness and decadence in his eyes. Up close or from a distance, he looked like a carefree, good–for–nothing son from a wealthy family.
Upon seeing Hunter Sacre, Sophie hurriedly got up from the couch, frowning hard.
“Are you
you crazy? Why did you let the driver drive in? Are you trying to attract attention?” Hunter leaned in close to Sophie, blowing cigarette smoke in her face. His thin lips curved into a smile. “What’s there to be afraid of? Do you think Simon doesn’t know about us?”
Sophie coughed as the smoke hit her, stepping back a few paces with a furrowed brow.
Hunter casually sat on the couch, carelessly crossing his legs. He looked Sophie up and down. Did you call me over to rekindle something?”
Peering at Hunter disdainfully, Sophie wondered how she could have such bad taste in the past. She got straight to the point. “I’m pregnant with your child.”
“What?” Hunter’s dark eyes widened, and he stopped smoking. He suddenly coughed as he stared at Sophie, both surprised and excited. “It’s mine? You’re not lying to me?”
Sophie gave him a look of disgust and muttered softly, “I wished Simon was the father of the
child-”
“Sophie!” Hunter exclaimed, alarmed.
“Enough, I need to talk to you.” Sophie put on a serious expression.
She explained that Simon didn’t know the child wasn’t his and told him about Simon’s plans to go to Naavi.
After hearing this, Hunter stubbed out his cigarette on the table and squinted. “I think I get it now. What you’re saying is, if Simon goes to Naavi, all his assets will automatically go to Luna, and our child won’t be able to inherit his wealth.
Sophie nodded, her dewy eyes flashing with a hint of something darker.
Hunter Sacre was her ex.
The Sacre residence was located in Ferner City, next to Lake City. As one of the wealthiest families in Ferner City, the Sacre family’s business empire was much larger than the Fulmer family’s.

Sadly, when she was dating Hunter, she didn’t know that he wasn’t the wife’s biological son.
The Sacre family had strict rules; children born outside of marriage were prohibited from interfering with the family’s businesses.
So, for years, Hunter had only been able to receive a small allowance from the Sacre family. He didn’t have access to any of their wealth.
Sophie gently stroked her belly, her cold voice cutting through the dim living room. “I want you to go to Naavi and find a way to get rid of Luna.”
Hunter paused mid–lighting a cigarette and stared at Sophie in shock. The woman in front of him clearly had murderous intent.
