Sophie, too scared to say a word, could only tremble in fear.
When Simon released his grip, Sophie fearfully watched his resolute figure leave.
She collapsed onto the floor, her eyes filled with panic and hatred. “It’s over. It’s all over.” She had calculated everything but never anticipated that Simon would still choose to go to Naavi despite knowing he’d be left penniless.
