The attending physician’s face twitched at Travis’s words. With his hands tucked into his white coat pockets, he was about to give this arrogant CEO a piece of his mind wheh James begged him to discuss it outside.
When he saw James’s pleading expression, the doctor swallowed his anger and followed James out.
Nicole went after them.
“Doctor, what if we paid $5,000 per night for the private room?” James negotiated.
“Absolutely not! We’re severely short on beds! Your boss is taking up a four–person room all by himself – it’s completely wasteful! Hospital administration has ordered me to free up the room today!”
“How about I contact the hospital director directly to discuss this?”
“The director was clear the room must be vacated today, no matter the money offered! We can’t prioritize your wealth over other people’s lives! Other patients need proper hospital care too!”
The doctor, having worked his way through medical school on scholarships and part–time jobs, particularly resented this kind of wealthy entitlement.
Seeing no room for negotiation, James held up five fingers Half a million for two weeks? Think of it as rental compensation for the room.”
“No!” A clear female voice cut in.
The doctor turned to see a tall, elegant woman approaching
James bowed politely. “Miss Spencer, I advise you to stay out of this. Mr. Graham will only get angry with again.”
Nicole ignored him, instead gesturing for James to look down the hallway.

The recent hot weather had prompted many people to spend nights drinking, enjoying barbecued food, and partying, leading to numerous traffic accidents.
At this moment, the general surgery ward’s corridor was already filled with several patients lying on makeshift beds.
The corridor lacked air conditioning, call buttons, and even basic IV stands.
Many family members were forced to hold up temporary IV stands with their own hands, looking exhausted.
While male patients could endure the situation, female patients with external injuries struggled even more, especially with wound care and using the bathroom.
After looking at the dire conditions in the corridor, James immediately understood Nicole’s point.
He gave a wry smile and said helplessly, “Miss Spencer, I’m in a tough spot. Working for Mr. Graham means I have to complete the tasks he assigns.”
Nicole responded, “I understand. That’s why I’ll convince Travis to stop making things difficult for the doctors.” “Miss Spencer, are you sure you can persuade Mr. Graham James was skeptical.
After all, considering how much his boss disliked Nicole, he found it hard to believe she could succeed.
The attending physician, however, was pleasantly surprise. He looked at Nicole gratefully and said, “Miss Spencer, right?”

The doctor continued appreciatively, “If you can convince Mr. Graham, you’ll be helping so many patients! There are three elderly people who’ve broken bones and are forced to stay in this corridor. In this heat, it’s truly heartbreaking.”
Nicole’s gaze was resolute. “Doctor, rest assured. I will clear out these rooms today.”
James, standing nearby, considered his proud and authoritative boss and found it nearly impossible to believe Nicole could persuade him.
Nevertheless, he asked curiously, “Miss Spencer, how do you plan to convince Mr. Graham?”
