Chapter 30
Listening to Richard’s distorted version of events, Helen tuned pale with anger and hurt. “You’re lying! You deliberately tried to hurt Nicole!”
Caught red–handed, Richard ground his teeth, his eyes almost shooting flames of rage. “You wretched woman, you’re trying to destroy me! Just you wait!”
Experienced with countless cases, the police officer quickly understood the situation.
He handcuffed Richard’s feet and pushed him against the wall. “Hands up, face the wall!”
Richard was cunning. He knew better than to resist the police, as it would harm his future prospects.
So he complied with everything, simultaneously explaining that he had only accidentally injured Nicole, absolutely not intentionally harming her.
The police asked him to calm down, then turned to Nicole to confirm Richard’s story.
Nicole spoke firmly, “Officer, my mother can testify that Richard not only tried to harm me but wanted to kill us both. I urge you to press charges. If you don’t, I’ll pursue legal action myself.”
“Are you really sending your own father to prison? How can you be so heartless?” Richard seethed, already plotting revenge once he was released.
Hearing Richard call her “daughter” made Nicole feel sick to her stomach.
“Stop acting. Just wait to serve your sentence and reform in prison!”
Enraged, Richard turned, no longer holding his hands up, and pointed his handcuffed finger at Nicole, “You’ll pay for this!”
With the basic facts confirmed, the police took Richard away.
The tense hospital room finally fell silent.
Nicole slumped against the wall, breathing heavily.
Helen bit her lip, covering her face and softly whimpering. She felt useless as a mother, seeing her daughter suffer so much.
The hospital worker came in to clean the broken glass.
Seeing Nicole’s bleeding arm, she sighed, “Oh, miss, does i hurt? Why didn’t you call a nurse to bandage it?”
Nicole hadn’t felt pain until the worker mentioned it. Now Her eyes burned with unshed tears.
“Such a deep wound, and you didn’t make a sound. I truly admire you!” the surgeon commented after treating her injury.
Nicole gave a bitter smile. “Because crying wouldn’t have changed anything.”
After helping Helen complete her hospital transfer, Nicole left the hospital and immediately received a call from
Travis.
To be precise, Nicole had just turned her phone’s volume of
Travis had already called several times before.

Chapter 30
“Hello, what is it?” Nicole leaned back in the rideshare car, asking wearily.
Hearing the woman’s impatient tone, Travis’s anger continued to rise in his chest.
“Move all your stuff out of the Graham house!”
“I don’t have time today. Can I do it another day?” After dealing with Helen and Richard, Nicole felt like she’d been skinned alive.
She was truly exhausted and just wanted to return to her room and rest in bed.
But Travis was not about to let her off.
An angry voice came through the phone.
“No, come and move your things out right now! I don’t want to see your things for even a second!”
Nicole’s anger rose like waves on a stormy coast, each wave higher and more intense than the last.
“Mr. Graham, if you don’t want to see my things, you can have someone throw them away. There’s no need to call me and waste my time!”
Feeling Nicole’s genuine anger and impatience through the screen, Travis clenched his phone and spoke in a commanding tone, “Will you throw away the shoes and clothes grandfather gave you too? Should I tell him how you treat his gifts?”
