“Don’t get arrogant just because I’m giving you some attention,” he said with a sly smirk.
Clara huffed and retorted, “Mr. Dane refuses to apologize for his mistakes. If word gets out, who’s the one losing face?”
Their proximity was too close, their breaths mingling, creating an unbearable heat between. them. Clara’s heart pounded wildly, and she couldn’t help but recall the kiss they shared in the restroom. Swallowing nervously, she felt Archer’s intense gaze and grew wary.
“What are you doing? Step back!” she said, alarmed.
But Archer’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and before she could say more, he kissed her.

“Fine,” she said at last. I’ll agree to the contract marriage, but you have to help me find my family.”
Clara reviewed the contract;

Looking up. Clara asked. “So, if we fall in love within three years, there’s no need for divorce?”
Archer crossed his arms, his expression cool. “Correct. I take marriage seriously. Three years is plenty of time to build a real connection.”

hand.
Archer wrapped an arm around Clara’s waist, pulling her closer.
“What are you doing?” Clara asked, feeling awkward with the sudden intimacy.
Archer gave her a side glance. “Pose. We’ll use this for the official announcement.”
Clara forced a smile, letting him take the lead.
