Chapter 24 The Meaning Behind the Wedding Ring
Archer studied the wedding ring carefully.
The women’s design was delicate and refined, while the men’s was bold and sophisticated. Together, they were a perfect match, stunning in their symbolism.
“What makes this ring different from the others?” Archer asked.
Clara explained with a faint smile, “This pair of rings symbolizes eternal love and the stability of marriage. They represent two people never abandoning each other, standing side by side for a lifetime. It’s like a promise that our marriage will last forever.”
Archer raised an eyebrow. A lifetime together?
Though he had always valued deep marital connections, hearing her words made him strangely look forward to the future they might share.
What Archer didn’t know was that when Clara originally designed this ring, it had been with her own dreams of a beautiful marriage in mind.
“We’ll take this set,” Archer said decisively. “Engrave our names on them.”
The salesperson beamed with delight. “Of course, Mr. Dane, Mrs. Dane. Please wait a moment.”
Clara chuckled softly. “Mr. Dane, you’re so extravagant. You didn’t even blink at spending a hundred million on wedding rings.”
Leaning closer, Archer whispered near her car, “Don’t hold back with me. If you like it, it’s yours.”
His low, teasing tone sent a wave of warmth through Clara’s cheeks. She glared at him playfully, her blush betraying her flustered state.
Her shy reaction made Archer’s eyes narrow slightly, his throat tightening as he swallowed reflexively.
An hour later, Archer and Clara emerged from the jewelry store, their wedding rings gleaming on their fingers.
“Archer, it’s getting late. I should head home,” Clara said.
“I’ll drive you,” Archer offered.
Clara glanced at his phone, noting the numerous work–related notifications. “You seem busy. If you have a lot to handle, I can take a cab.”
Archer checked the time. She was right–there was a mountain of work waiting for him at the office.
“Alright Be careful on your way home. I’ll head to the commany”

Clara nodded and got into a cab, while Archer watched her leave before driving off to Dane Corp.
Arriving at the company. Archer noticed a familiar figure lingering near the entrance. His brow furrowed as he changed direction, heading toward another door.
Mira, who had been waiting for him, immediately noticed his movement and hurried after him.
Back home. Clara sat on her couch, gazing at the sparkling diamond on her finger. Everything felt surreal, like a dream.
Laura, noticing her return, mentioned that her husband had come back from his trip and she needed to head home. She hesitated, worried about leaving Clara alone.
Clara decided to share her recent marriage news, surprising Laura. After much disbelief, Laura finally congratulated her before Clara walked her out.
On her way back, Clara spotted a husky charging toward her from a distance.
Her eyes widened in fear.
“Daisy, stop running!” a man shouted..
The husky ignored its owner, leaping straight at Clara.
“Ah!” Clara shrieked, covering her face as she fell backward.
The dog’s paws pressed against her, its tail wagging excitedly as it licked her hand.
“Daisy!”
A man rushed over, pulling the dog away with its leash, “I’m so sorry, miss! Did she scare you?”
Clara lowered her hands, glaring at him. “Why didn’t you keep your dog leashed?”
The man chuckled sheepishly. “I apologize. She’s usually well–behaved. Wait… it’s you, isn’t it? Don’t you remember me?”
Clara squinted at him, taking in his casual yet stylish outfit and warm, sunny demeanor.
“Who are you?”
The man smiled warmly. “I’m Wyatt. Last time, when an older woman tried to extort money from you, I helped you report it to the police. We even added each other on WhatsApp!”
Recognition dawned on Clara’s face, and she smiled faintly. “Oh, it’s you.”
“Your dog is quite mischievous. Make sure to keep her leashed next time.”
“Woof woof!”
