“Sign the divorce papers and mail them to me. I’ve already left it with Megan.”
Aaron said drily, “Fine, I’ll sign it. I’m sorry, Katrina, for taking up so much of your time. I always thought that you liked the industry we were in.”
He then sent me a photo of the signed divorce agreement and told Megan to send me a copy.
I had bet that Aaron would immediately sign the papers after learning that I’d sacrificed five years of my time without going after my own dreams. After all, he was someone who would work very hard to achieve his own dreams.
However, he didn’t know that he would have his dreams dashed after tomorrow.
The next day, I was happily playing by the beach. When I got back to the shore, I realized that Aaron had called me at least a hundred times.
Since he’d signed the divorce papers without giving me any trouble yesterday, I decided to play nice and return his calls.
“Katrina Sanders, you evil witch! Didn’t you say that we should end on a good note? Why did you have to go and play that video of Rachel and me just as we were about to get listed? The whole world has seen it! The company failed to get listed!”
This was a huge thing, and I figured that it would make headlines. So, I went online and saw the trending video.
Wasn’t this from yesterday, when they both had sex in his office?
I told Aaron on the phone, “I never filmed such a video–what more posting it just as your company was about to get listed.”
Aaron roared at me, “Who else would it be if not you? Even if I let you down, you still earned hundreds of millions from selling your shares, didn’t you? Why didn’t you have to go and ruin us like this? Did you know that Rachel even slit her wrists as soon as she saw the video?
“Katrina Sanders, I did the right thing by not choosing you. I’m telling you that the police are out looking for you now! I’ve already reported you for embezzling public funds and fleeing the country.
“Rachel is going to be forever impacted by this. If there’s nothing else I can do, I’m just going to make sure you rot away in jail for the rest of your life!”
Aaron didn’t even let me get a word in before hanging up on me.
I was just about to call him back and tell him that it was Carson who filmed them when two policemen walked toward me.
