Chapter 8

The man looked at me with embarrassment written all over his face.
“Sure, let’s go.”
“What if there was an emergency?”
The moment the phone was answered, Katherine’s voice came through.
“Bradley, where were you? I suddenly had a stomachache!”
“What should we do if there is also bleeding in the lower body? Bradley, is our child not going to survive?”
Bradley anxiously comforted her.
“Are you okay, Katherine? Don’t move, I’ll be right back!”
Bradley didn’t even have time to say goodbye to his daughter. He hurriedly left.
I was terrifyingly calm in the midst of my mother’s angry scolding.
I was just waiting for another opportunity.
An opportunity for revenge.
Chapter 9
Soon, the opportunity came.
A week later, I received a call from Katherine.
“Paityn, Bradley and I were getting married.”
“I have to thank you too for insisting on divorcing Bradley. If it weren’t for your fuss, I wouldn’t have been able to reconcile with Bradley so quickly.”
“So, I didn’t call to invite you to come and have a drink at my and Bradley’s wedding on Friday.”
“Thank you for making it happen.”
I was not angry, I just replied to her slowly.
“Katherine, is your child okay?”
“Are you planning to give birth to a pillow after ten months of pregnancy? Or are you planning to have an abortion on an auspicious day after getting married?”
There came a terrified scream from Katherine on the other end of the phone.
“Paityn, what did you want to do?!”
I didn’t say a word and hung up the phone with a cold laugh.
Yes, Katherine was not pregnant at all.
At that time, I saw pajamas in the shopping bag at the café.
A woman wore high heels and crossed her legs during the early stages of pregnancy.
Everything was eerie.
When my body had almost recovered, I contacted my senior sister and told her about my suspicions.
My senior sister quickly brought me the news.
Katherine was not pregnant at all.
A woman couldn’t wait to come up with a stupid idea to get ahead.
I decisively took my mother and Elaina back to our hometown. The phone was turned off.
I made sure that Katherine couldn’t find me during this period.
I wanted a knife to always hang over the bride’s head.
Every day was filled with fear.
On Friday, I sent Katherine’s fake ultrasound report and the recording of bribing the intern doctor to Bradley.
At the largest hotel in town, in front of a full audience, Bradley hit Katherine.
The man tore open Katherine’s dress and, in front of everyone, pulled out a wad of cotton from her abdomen.
The whole scene was in an uproar.
Katherine desperately tried to cover her almost exposed body under the gaze of the crowd.
Trembling under Bradley’s angry gaze.
“Please listen to me explain, Bradley.”
“I loved you so much, I just lied to you because I couldn’t be without you.”
“Please forgive me, considering my love for you.”
A trembling hand was raised, wanting to hold the man’s hand.
But he was slapped by a man.
Bradley gritted his teeth and kicked the woman in the stomach.

Up and down.
Amidst the woman’s screams, Bradley cursed through gritted teeth, “Forgive? You fucking destroyed my family!”
The guests realized something was wrong and pulled Bradley away, and Katherine was already gasping for breath.
The blood flowing from the lower body quickly soaked the snow–white dress.
The wedding turned into a farce.
The ambulance took away Katherine.
The police car led Bradley,
The guests who attended the wedding uploaded videos online. Soon, they took over the popular section of the city.
“The retribution of the mistress.”
“He deserved it, being a scumbag.”
Once it was brushed up and became popular.
I watched the video online and let out a long breath.
I gave a hard kiss on my daughter’s tender cheek.
1, Paityn.
I was never a weak person who could be easily bullied.
