Chapter 9
It was 12:20. Twenty minutes had passed since the start of the wedding, but no staff member notified the bride to enter the hall. The dressing room was eerily quiet.
Tiana knocked on the table, sensing something was wrong. She stood up and opened the door, only to find two bodyguards standing in front of her. “Where is Kelvin?”
The bodyguards both looked serious. “He will be back soon. Mrs. Gale, just wait.”
“If you didn’t tell me, I would jump out of the window and run away now.”
The bodyguards showed a hint of hesitation. After struggling for more than ten seconds, one told her the truth reluctantly.
“Ms. Bauer committed suicide. Mr. Gale… He is rushing over there.”
No wonder Kelvin would rather postpone the wedding.
Tiana felt shocked but laughed at herself. Miranda had countless ways to make Kelvin compromise. But he couldn’t even fulfill a single promise he made to Tiana.
Fortunately, Miranda experienced the pain of suicide. Her revenge was considered successful.
There was no need for her to stay.
But escaping now was a bit troublesome.
Tiana closed the door and told her current situation to people from the Kellet Group. After more than ten minutes, she still received no reply.
Tiana was pondering on another solution when the door suddenly got pushed open.
A young man stood between the two bodyguards who lay on the ground. He smiled, “Ms. Farrell, please.”
Tiana took off her wedding ring and glanced once more at the wedding venue she eagerly anticipated.
She left without hesitation.
The entanglement between her and Kelvin truly came to a complete end.
At the same time, Kelvin was rushing to the wedding venue.
The guests were still there, and everything looked normal. Kelvin felt slightly relieved. He walked while changing into a suit. Then he nodded at the emcee and said, “Let’s begin.”
The emcee’s eyes began to flicker.
After a while of contemplation, he asked softly, “Didn’t Mrs. Gale go to look for you?”
Kelvin suddenly looked up. His assistant hurriedly ran over from the dressing room.
“Mr. Gale! Mrs. Gale is missing.”
Kelvin’s heart trembled, and he forced himself to walk over. Inside the dressing room, there was no one. The bodyguards he arranged before leaving were lying on the ground.
Tiana couldn’t have done it alone.
Kelvin suddenly thought of that man in his mind.
