I couldn’t help but ask him, “Then let me ask you, when you blocked me earlier, why didn’t you say ‘forgive when it’s time to forgive‘? When you smashed my car, why didn’t you think about the friendship between classmates? Malcolm, someone like you, nobody who looks down on others, is not worthy of being my classmate!”
Malcolm was left speechless, frozen in place.
While I was talking to him, Jasper walked over. “Comrade Special Commissioner, the car has been smashed up pretty well, do you need me to do anything else?”
Me vs Soknese
I smiled as I looked at the sweaty and flustered Malcolm. “Go ahead and call your father. After all, if you smash someone’s car, you should pay for it.”
As soon as Malcolm heard I was going to call his father, he suddenly seemed to come back to life. “Alright, alright, I’ll call my dad right now. I want to see if you’re still so tough when my dad gets here.”
I’d met many rich men types with stubborn personalities, but I’d never seen one as stubborn as Malcolm. Did he really think that his father who briefly became the richest man will be enough to back him up?
If what he said was true, then it seemed the so–called richest person in Langston would soon have to rethink his
position.
At that moment, Malcolm still had no idea who he had offended. He called his father right in front of me.
“Hello, Dad, it’s Malcolm. Hurry and come to Langston Hotel.”
“Yes, the one on Valor Road.”
“There’s someone here who looks down on you. He even said that the richest person in Langston is nothing special. Dad, come over and teach him a lesson.”
Malcolm exaggerated the situation on the phone, trying to stir up conflict between me and his father.
But I couldn’t be bothered to explain. After all, if a man could raise such a son, it was clear that the father wasn’t
much better.
Since Malcolm had believed his father could dominate Langston, I was curious to see how this “tycoon” would
have taught me a lesson.
Today, by coincidence, Callum’s name was also on the meeting list. However, due to his social status, he was placed at the very end of the list.
After hanging up the phone, Malcolm immediately reverted to his previous arrogant attitude. He spoke with such pride, practically lifting his face to the sky, treating me with utter disdain as if looking down on me through his nose.
“Griffin, I was trying to let this slide, but you just had to confront me head–on. So what if you’ve been in the army? This isn’t your military base. This is Langston! You still have time to apologize now. Once my dad gets here, it’ll be
too late.”
Hearing Malcolm’s words, even with my temper as calm as it was, I couldn’t hold back and let out a curse. “Damb
your mother!”
Malcolm, enraged by my words, rolled up his sleeves and looked ready to charge at me. But with armed guards around me, he hesitated for a long while, too afraid to move and just stood there, glaring.
At this moment, Jasper leaned in beside me, speaking in a low voice.
“Comrade Special Commissioner, do you need me to make a call to the city government?”
I kept my gaze fixed on the approaching Maybach in the distance, my eyes slowly narrowing.
“No need, today I’ll have some fun with these father and son.”
As soon as Callum got out of the car, he rushed over excitedly. “Dad, this is the guy who smashed my new
bought car!”
Callum merely glanced at me and his expression instantly changed. His tone became filled with respect.
“May I ask, what’s your name?”
I smiled faintly and replied, “My surname is Lancaster.”
Callum lowered his head, thinking for a long while. It seemed he was running through all the influential people
named Lancaster in Langston City in his mind.
