After putting his legs down, Shane got up from his chair. “I’ll send you the schedule details later once everything’s finalized. Oh, by the way
He paused for a moment before chuckling slyly. “Any new cars lately? Let your buddy here take one out for a spin.”
Suzanne was speechless. So, this guy really thought she was some car enthusiast?
She replied flatly, “Nope.”
With hat one word, Shane deflated completely, slumping heavily back into his chair. “Alright, then. You go ahead and do your thing. I’ll send the
schedule later.”
From her flashy car, he had assumed she was into collecting and driving luxury cars now. Clearly, he was wrong.
Suzamme replied, “Sure. Thanks for handling things over there.”
Shane handled all the work arrangements. While Suzanne didn’t have to deal with them, she knew how troublesome they could be.
Shane beamed once again as he casually ruffled his bangs. He then teased, “No need to thank me. How about you let me drive your car instead?”
Suzanne rolled her eyes. This guy was seriously….
Imitating his carefree tone, she said, “What’s that? I didn’t hear you. Oh, the signal’s bad. Bye.”
“What the heck? She actually hung up?” Shane stared at his phone in disbelief before springing up in mock anger. “Damn it! When did this woman turn into such a troll?”
Suzanne had always been his idol, but now, she had changed for the worse
Suzanne parked her car in front of the towering Hall Corporation building and walked toward the lobby, holding the food container.

The receptionist, busy with her work, looked up–and her eyes briefly widened at Suzanne’s stunning appearance before her professional demeanor returned
She asked courteously yet distantly, “Do you have an appointment, miss?”
Suzanne froze for a second–she had forgotten about that.
Shaking her head, she answered honestly, “I don’t. I’m just here to deliver a meal.”
The receptionist, Sonia Beasley, glanced at the food container in Suzanne’s hand, and her expression darkened.
She thought she was right about Suzanne being a woman who was trying to get close to Austin.
As a look of disdain crossed her face, she said coldly, “Sorry, but you can’t enter without an appointment.”
Sonia always encountered women like this–using any excuse to approach their CEO. Couldn’t they be more creative and not add to her workload?
Suzanne immediately sensed Sonia’s hostility and frowned. “I know your CEO. I’m just delivering lunch and will leave immediately with no other intentions.” She spoke while taking out her phone, ready to call Austin.
She had no intention of breaking the rules, but before she could even call him, a loud bang sounded.
