Chapter 11
What surprised me was that, just a week after filing for divorce, Byron signed the papers.
I obtained my divorce certificate smoothly.
For the first time in a long time, I felt completely free.
I couldn’t wait to invite Eason over for a casual drink at home and share all the events of the past with him.
It was during this conversation that I learned Eason had liked me for years.
His unexpected confession left me a bit unsure how to respond, but I was open to taking things slow and seeing where they led.
One year later, we finally started to date.
For the first time in my life, I experienced what it meant to have mutual love.
After my divorce from Byron, Flora wasted no time pressuring him to marry her.
But Byron’s mother opposed the idea, saying Flora’s family background was too inferior and that she seemed like a petty girl.
When repeated attempts at pressuring Byron failed, Flora eventually pulled out a fake pregnancy report.
This time, Byron’s mother was thrilled and finally gave her approval.
After all, during my five years of marriage with Byron, we had no children, and Bryon’s mother had long been eager to have a grandchild.
But just two months after the wedding, Flora’s fake pregnancy was exposed.
Her situation at Byron’s house became even more miserable.
She was already lucky not to be thrown out entirely after her lie got exposed.
Byron, on the other hand, couldn’t seem to let me go.
Gurely after her lie got exposed.
Byron, on the other hand, couldn’t seem to let me go.
He would call out my name in his sleep, and he and Flora fought constantly.
Compared to their chaotic life, my life was infinitely better.
One year after marrying Eason, I gave birth to a beautiful daughter, and my life only grew happier ever since.
