Chapter 110
Facing a heartbreaker like him, giving a strong scolding was the only satisfying option.
With the rain pattering down, Hayden’s jawline began to tighten.
“She wants to divorce me,” he said, slowly articulating each word.
Lucy laughed in disbelief. “What? You won’t let others wake up to reality? Yvonne has been faithfully waiting and loving you for ten years. Even a cold stone would have warmed by now. If you don’t love her, you should let her go.”
Hayden didn’t answer this question.
The word “love” had never taken a tangible form in his thirty years of life.
He only knew that Yvonne was always by his side, and she couldn’t suddenly leave him.
Seeing his silence, Lucy came clean. “Yvonne said it herself that she doesn’t love you anymore. You’ve found someone new, so why not let go? Wouldn’t that be best for both of you?”
Hayden was stunned.
Since he was back off to Lucy, she couldn’t see his eyes shaking like there was an earthquake.
Hayden thought, ‘Yvonne… doesn’t love me anymore?‘
Those seemingly light words struck his heart like a heavy hammer.
After a long pause, he asked again, “Why did she go abroad to take care of me?”
Maybe that was his last hope to hold onto…
Lucy scoffed, “Back then, she still had a little bit of infatuation with you. She stopped loving you when you brought Joanna back.”
After saying that, Lucy sighed. “Forget it. Talking to you about this is pointless anyway. You never cared about Yvonne. Even if she owed you in her past life, she’s repaid it in this one. Leave her alone, even Nancy wouldn’t want to see you.”
This time, let her make a decision for Yvonne.
Every time Hayden appeared in front of Yvonne, it broke her heart a little more.
After saying those words, Lucy walked towards Yvonne, leaving Hayden awkwardly standing by himself.
“How do you know I never cared about her?” asked Hayden.
His soft murmur was carried away by the light rain, eventually disappearing without a trace.
Hayden looked up and saw Yvonne not far ahead, collapsed in tears at Nancy’s grave, with Lucy comforting her.
Suddenly, he recalled Yvonne’s words about not wanting to see him.
A surge of pain spread through his chest, almost overwhelming him.
The rain became heavier.
I stared at the black and white photo on Mom’s tombstone, my tear–filled eyes already so blurry.
“Lucy, do you think my mom wouldn’t have died if I hadn’t gone to find Hayden back then?” I asked in despair.
Lucy gently wiped my tears. “Yvonne, don’t dwell on these thoughts. Everyone has their fate. Even from the afterlife, Nancy wouldn’t be happy seeing you like this.”
There was so much frustration and regret in this world. Not all of them could be truly fixed.
What was done was done.
Not being able to let go of the past was like not being able to forgive oneself.

Chapter 110
“I was wrong, Lucy. I don’t love Hayden. I realize that now…” I threw myself into Lucy’s arms, breaking down in tears.
I can choose to overlook all the wrongs I’ve suffered over the years.
I could consider all the time I had wasted as just playing around…
But my mother, who had gone, would never come back.
It was all because I loved Hayden and I couldn’t let him go…
If I could turn back time, I’d never fall for Hayden.
I never want to love him again…
Lucy held me tight, crying. “Yvonne, don’t be like this. It’s not your fault. How can it be? You’re a victim too… It’s because of that horrible Hayden. And your dad, with his cheating. They’re all the same. Don’t take all the blame on yourself.”
“I didn’t protect Mom well enough…” I was lost in sorrow, completely unaware that Lucy was looking in a specific direction.
And in that direction, Hayden, feeling down, turned and quietly walked away.
I didn’t return to Rosy House that night. Instead, Lucy took me to her home.
“We haven’t lived together since graduation, right? You got married right after graduating. Hmph, always choosing love over friendship.” Lucy pouted, wrapped in a robe, as she dried my freshly washed hair, complaining.
Listening to her, I recalled our childhood, and a smile unconsciously formed on my face. “Those school days were the best, carefree, and simple.” “You can be carefree now.” Lucy finally finished and sat beside me. “Once your divorce is finalized, move in with me. I’ve already talked to my parents about starting a business. Join me. We can definitely make it big in the Elysiumville!”
I was a bit surprised. “Aren’t you the one who hates dealing with business the most?”
She grew up affluent and enjoyed having fun, but she hated socializing and f
I thought, ‘How could someone like that suddenly decide to start a business?‘
“Oh come on, it’s just because I want to do it with you.” Lucy laughed, hugging

- me.
I guessed she was worried about how I would feel after the divorce, so she wanted to involve me in something.
Honestly, I was really touched, but…
“Lucy, you don’t have to do things you don’t like just for me. I… actually, I want to leave Elysiumville,” I said earnestly, holding her hand.
“Leave?” She paused, looking a bit upset. “Yvonne, are you leaving me?”
“No, no, I just…” I realized I couldn’t come up with a good reason immediately.
But it was as if she could read my mind as she continued, “I know, you want to get away f
I didn’t argue.
It was not like that was not a reason…
that jerk Hayden.”
“Damn it. Ten years of causing you trouble wasn’t enough, and now he wants you to leave everything behind? It makes me so mad.” Lucy slammed the pillow in her hand, as if it were Hayden himself.
Watching her childish antics, I chuckled, “Actually, it’s not just because of him. It is also because of my dad…”
“What’s wrong with your dad?” Lucy paused and tilted her head to look at me.
I sighed and reluctantly brought up the issue of the shares.
Lucy’s eyes widened. “So you’re the biggest shareholder of the Jackson Group now?”
“You could say that.” I nodded, frowning a little. “My dad already knows I’m behind this, and I doubt he’ll let it go easily. With things like this, I probably can’t stay in Elysiumville much longer.”

Chapter 110
“Don’t care about him. He betrayed your mom and got married to a witch so quickly. He the shameless one? Lucy ranted angrily and then grabbed my hand. Yvonne, where are you going? I don’t want you to leave. How about I go with you?”
I hadn’t answeredge when there was a knock on the bedroom door. “Knock, knock, knock”
Then a grile and refined voice followed. “Laxy? Mom heard your friend is here, so she asked me to bring some fruit.”
