Chapter 190
Many years later, when I recalled everything that happened that day. I realized that the moment my eyes met Hayden’s, my
heart wavered a little.
I didn’t know if I would have changed my mind if he asked me to stay at that moment.
At the time, I didn’t realize any of this.
I held my breath, the thought of knocking him unconscious flashing through my mind.
However, before I could act. Hayden suddenly cried.
His eyes were red, and clear tears streamed down his face, leaving two tear stains. He looked so broken under the light.
I was practically petrified.
Intense shock and uncertainty made me hold my breath.
I never imagined that someone as cold–hearted as Hayden would actually cry.
I wondered if it was because he had a nightmare.
Soon, he parted his thin lips, interrupting my wild thoughts. “Yvonne, is it really you? You’re back?”
His voice was choked with sobs, yet cautious and incredibly complex. I couldn’t quite grasp it all.
I didn’t answer. Or rather, I didn’t even know what to say.
Amidst the silence, Hayden suddenly reached out to me.
His movements were slow, devoid of any aggression, yet I instinctively took a large step back.
Every touch from him brought me immense pain in the past.
Therefore, distancing myself from him had become second nature.
My retreat seemed to have a profound impact on Hayden. His dark eyes narrowed abruptly, his entire being appearing as if struck by a massive shock. His hand was suspended in the air before it trembled slightl
“Right, you hate me so much. How could you ever come back? You will never come back…” he mumbled to himself, a bitter smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
He mumbled to himself, a bitter smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
I stared at him intently. “Hayden, I don’t hate you anymore.”
“Really?” he asked, his voice trembling as he sought my confirmation, like a child who had made a mistake.
I had never seen him so helpless.
“Yes.” I nodded before sighing softly. “I don’t regret any of the decisions I’ve made in my entire life. It was my choice to love you with all my heart. And it was your choice not to reciprocate that love. I don’t blame you. If I continued to hate you
and resent you, my life would be forever entangled with yours. Now… we can finally part ways peacefully.”
As I spoke those words, I felt an unprecedented sense of peace wash over me.
There was no longer a raging torrent of hate, nor the searing intensity of love. Everything had returned to the beginning
“No…” Hayden shook his head, his eyes suddenly becoming vacant. “Yvonne, don’t leave me. I don’t want it to end like this! Come back to me, okay?”
Chapter 190
I couldn’t comprehend how he suddenly became so fragile, and I wondered if his words were borne of guilt or remorse.
However, I didn’t want to understand.
1 had no feelings left for him anymore
turned around and left without hesitation.
Hayden froze for a moment before quickly catching up. “Yvonnet”
Rita happened to be coming back with wine at this time. Seeing him running out like crazy, she immediately stopped him, “Mr. Parker, what happened?”
“Where Yvonne! She just went out! Hayden shouted loully.
Rita was stunned for a moment, then let out a long sigh, “Mr. Parker, you’re drunk. Mrs. Parker didn’t come back. I didn’t see anyone on the way here”
Everyone knew that Yvonne jumped into the sea. Rita felt that there was no way Yvonne would possibly appear there.
Hayden refused to believe it, “No, she was just here!”
“Mr. Parker.. you should drink less. Rita shook her head and helped him into the room.
Hayden’s eyes flickered, “Was she not here?”
“Yes. You miss her too much,” Rita explained.
Hayden didn’t say anything more. He just silently took the wine Rita brought, raised his head, and took a gulp.
“Mr. Parker! Don’t drink like that, your health is important!” Rita kept persuading, but Hayden didn’t listen at all.
Just now, he really thought Yvonne was back.
Even if she would never forgive him, it was fine as long as she was alive.
But now Rita told him that it was just a dream.
The hope that had just ignited within Hayden was instantly shattered.
His heart seemed to have been ripped open with a huge hole, and it hurt him a great deal.
He felt if he was drunk, it wouldn’t hurt so much.
Hayden thought, “Why didn’t I know that wine is such a good thing?
Rita couldn’t persuade him at all, so she sighed and left.
Only Hayden could figure it out for himself. No matter how much others persuade, it would be useless.
When I came out of Rosy House, I saw Marlon and Dylan smoking outside the car from afar, seeming to be chatting about something.
The white smoke rose up, blurring their faces.
“Why are you all out here? Aren’t you afraid of being seen?” I raised my eyebrows at them.
Before coming there, they told me not to be spotted, but they were so blatantly smoking in public.
I really didn’t know what they were thinking about.

Branng my voice, the two quickly turned their heads.
“su strode towards me. Yvonne, you’re finally out! Is everything alright?”
could possibly happen?” I chuckled before patting my bulging pockets. “I got everything”
That’s good. You have no idea how worried Mr. Warner and I were!” Dylan sighed in relief.
He spoke quickly without thinking.
I glanced at Marion.
He had aiready stubbed out his cigarette and walked over to open the car door. “Let’s go. It’s getting late.”
The three of us got into the car. After driving for a while. Marlon asked, “Did anyone see you?”
“No. 1 shook my head, not mentioning my encounter with Hayden.
I didn’t leave immediately after Rita entered the study. I hid outside the door and overheard their conversation.
Hayden thought I was a hallucination. Rita didn’t believe I would show up at all
To them. I didn’t even exist, let alone be discovered.
However, I didn’t know that what Marlon wanted to ask most was whether I had met Hayden.
The moment I got the divorce agreement, I no longer felt any attachment to this city.
“When can we go abroad?” I asked impatiently.
“Are you in a hurry Marlon glanced at me, then concentrated on driving. “Hayden is getting married soon. Don’t you want to see it before you leave?”
