I Disappear Story Chapter 57

Chapter 57

In the pitch black, Hayden had barely gotten comfortable when the woman beside him snuggled up to him. Even as a cool, untouchable guy. couldn’t hide his surprise

He felt the difference between their bodieshers soft and smelling sweet, a stark contrast to his own. A restlessness he’d kept locked down for ages threatened to break free

Hayden’s jaw clenched as he tried to untangle Yvonne’s grip

But she caught on quickly, squirmed in closer, and hugged him tighter. Stay put. Keep me warm!she added, her voice playful and teasing

This was a side of her Hayden hadn’t seen since she returned. Suddenly, his grip lost some of its strength

For some reason, he found the woman he once wouldn’t give a second glance ar kinda cute. Instead of pushing her away as he had planned, his hand ended up giving her a gentle pat, almost like he was soothing her

After what felt like forever, she mumbled against his chest, Hayden, you scumbag…

They were so close that he couldn’t miss a peep. Hayden’s lips thinned, and his hand paused midpat. His eyes turned icy, and without a moment of hesitation, he pushed the woman in his arms away

The abrupt shove jolted me awake. I groggily sat up, realizing I was in our bedroom. I halfrose after feeling the push. Glancing over, I saw Hayden there

Before I could say a word, he said coldly, Stop snoring”

My confusion and indignation were instantly lodged in my throat. I know I never snored, and I was a quiet sleeper

But he sounded so sure of himself. After his comment, he turned away, tugging most of the blanket with him. The look on his face was pure disdain

Were you the one who snored?I asked, not about to own up to such an embarrassing claim. I mimicked him by grabbing the other side of the blanket turning my back to Hayden, and lying down

I felt cursed being with him. Such a lovely dream was shattered. The warm stuff in my dream had been so cozy, and now I resentfully drifted back to sleep

With everything that had been going on, one thing after another, I was really wiped out

Early the next day, Yosef called me, saying, Yvonne, where are you? Get home by noon

He sounded serious, and 1 had a hunch this was about Sophia getting the ax last night, and I wasn’t planning on getting mixed up in that drama. Dad, I’m heading into the office. Got a ton on my todo list today. No can do.”

What do you mean by that? Get your butt back here. Don’t tell me you’re blowing off your mother’s affairs too!Yosef was clearly ticked, bringing up my mom to drive the point home

I frowned, took a moment to weigh my options, and decided to head back in the end, I could brush off a lot of things, but when it came to mom, it was a different ball game

As soon as I stepped through the door, I saw Sophia sobbing her heart out and covering her face

Yosef was by her side, trying to calm her down. Alright, stop crying. It isn’t good for the baby in your belly”

You’re only worried about the kid I’m carrying, and I’m getting pushed around here!Sophia wailed, thrashing around like a kid having a meltdown

At this, my stomach did a line flip. Thank God I hadn’t eaten anything this morning, or I’d be losing it all over the floor

When I walked in, the two of them heard my footsteps and looked up at me..

Sophia’s eyes were full of resentment, and Yosef’s face darkened as he said, Yvonne, what really happened last night? Why did you kick Sophia

Chapter 57

It wasn’t me. It was Hayden’s grandmother, I explained calmly

Mrs. Deborah Parker? Yosef hesitated, wondering, Isn’t that old bat usually out of it? Why would she suddenly boot Sophia out

Seeing this. Sophia wailed louder, Yvonne said I was nobody and didn’t stop Mrs. Parker at all. I was kicked out in front of everyone. It’s so humiliating. 1I might as well just dief

With that, she actually stood up and made to dash her head against a wall

Yosef was startled and rushed to hold her waist. Sophial Don’t do anything foolish! You’re carrying our son!”

1 felt a slight tremor in my heart, thinking they must have found our Sophia was carrying a son. No wonder Yosef was backing her up and had called me back. It looked like Sophia was about to wear the crown in the Jackson family

What’s the point of carrying this child? Once he’s born, he’ll be pushed around, tool Might as well just die with me now! Sophia continued to wail

Yosef pulled her over to sit on the sofa and then turned to me with a fierce look Apologize to Sophia right now!”

Why should I retorted without thinking, and in the next moment, a hard slap landed on my face

My mind went blank, and my face turned to the side. The burning pain reminded me of what had juu happened

Growing up, Yosef had never laid a hand on me. When Nancy was alive, he dosed on me, granting whatever I wished. But now, for an outsider, he hit me. Oh, Sophia wasn’t an outsider anymore, maybe I was the outsider in this family now

I didn’t cry or make a scene, and after a while. I looked up at the man 1 called my father. Unconsciously, time had etched many lines on his once young and handsome face

As he looked at me, there was no trace of the old affection and love. There was only disgust and hatred

It was hard to believe that two months ago, when Nancy passed away, he had held me and cried, saying he was sorry to Nancy and to me

So soon, I had become the object of his lutred. He was like this, and so was Hayden, Maybe men were naturally Bekle and unreliable. I clenched my teeth lightly, trying to ignore the sharp pain in my heart

Yosef seemed to regret his action a bit, his gaze avoiding mane. Yvonne, how did you become like this? Sophia is my wife, and we are family from now on. You should respect her!”

What do you mean by that? I don’t care whose wife she is, and I’m not apologizing to her! You called me back for my mom’s matters, so spill it What’s the matter?” I said through gritted secl with the last atom of patience

Before Yosef could answer this time, Sophia feigned a choked voice and said, “Yvonne, it’s fine if you don’t like me, but your mother has already been buried. Why would you disturb hert Her grave must not be moved

I sensed something fishy and narrowed my eyes at her. Why not! Where my mother’s grave is doesn’t seem to concern you

Sophia suddenly averted her gaze, stammering. L.. She”
