Man, I woke up feeling all kinds of wind after that dream about Federics. It was like he actually went to town on me all night.

I tossed my phone aside, hopped in the shower, got myself together, and had a quick breakfast, feeling pretty good.
Next Monday, huh? That was just two days away. So, today’s mission: sang some new threads for the new gig.

Just as I was about to head out, my phone rang.
It was Lily.
“Hey girl, how’s LA treating you? Land a job yet?” She showed her concrren.

“Yeah, it was me,” I replied.
“No way! That jerk. No wonder you bailed just a month before finishing your internship. I wanna cut off his junk. But you did the right thing. I laughed so hard 1 could barely breathe. “Serves him right! Now I kinda wish Tal stayed at NYC a bit longer to see that. Then we could’ve gone out for drinks to celebrate. I’ll miss you, Lily.”

The weather was killer. I was cruising in my bedt–up Ford, humming along to some tunes and soaking in the scenery.

We both turned around, and the saleswoman’s smile magically reappeare
Standing there was a knockout with fluffy blonde curls and striking purple eyes. I stared at her eyes for a bit too long before realizing it was rude.
She winked. “Not an alien, just colored contacts.”
“Oh, got it
You’re just too gorgeous. Sorry for staring,” I EXPLAINED.
She flashed a smile, her red lips showing off perfect teeth. “No worries, I’m used to it.”
She grabbed a white knit top from the rack. Try this one. Simple and elegant, suits your style.”
Her accent was something else, making her words sound all romantic.

I smiled apologetically and pushed her hand away. “Thanks, but I’m just browsing, not buying.”
“Oh? Window shopping? No wonder the saleswoman’s pissed.” She did even lower her voice, and the saleswoman gave an awkward smile and turned away.
“Don’t sweat it, I’ll buy this for you! No need to try it on, just wrap it up she said casually.
My eyes went wide, and I grabbed her arm. “Wait, miss, we don’t even know each other.”
“Are you sure? Ms. Davis?”
“You know me? Who are you?”
She nodded, looking all relaxed like it was no big deal. “Marta D’haene, or maybe now I should say Marta Caposta.”
I was floored, my jaw practically hitting the floor.
