Seduction of my Mafia Stepbrother.
Chapter 15 A New Life Begins with Beautiful Clothes
Sarah’s POV
So, there I was, just doing some casual shopping, when hom! I bump someone from the Caposta family. Totally didn’t see that
coming.
“Are you Marta?” I asked, squinting a hit.
I vaguely remembered there was a stunning woman in a blue dress hanging around the edges at the wedding. Yep, it was her.
Turned out, she was the golden child of the Caposta family everyone was buzzing about. Another one of Riccardo’s kids that Antonio had
pointed out to me.
And she was my stepsister? Seriously? 1f 1 ran into any more Caposta toks, my brain was gonna be fried for sure
The clerk handed me my shopping bag, and Marta just swiped her credit card like it was nothing
“This dress perfect for surgery. Even with a surgical gown over it, it won’t look bulky or get in your way,” said Marta
1 gaped at her, asking, “Did you, like, investigate me?”
“Why, is that weird? Tve looked into most people in the Caposta Family Come on, I take you to a boutique you can actually afford. She Ted me to this tiny shop upstairs called CEZANNE,
A tall, skinny dude with red hair, a nose ring, and earrings came out. He greeted Marta with a French cheek kiss, and they chatted in
French for a bit.
“Paul, I brought you a model. Dress her up. By the way, she’s a doctor, Marta remarked.
“Wow, that’s awesome. But doctors need to date too, right? You’ve got such a hot body; it’s a crime not to show it off. Let me tell you, a doctor’s white coat is the most dehumanizing thing ever. Come on, darling, let me take your measurements,” said that Paul
I stood in front of the mirror, letting him fuss over me, and whispered to Marta, “Miss Caposta.”
Marta tilted her head. “Do you Americans always keep such a distance?ve already called you Sarah.”
I nodded, feeling a bit awkward. “Listen, Marta, I don’t want to hide it, but I’m really broke. I think it’s kinda inappropriate for you to buy me clothes, and if you pick out too many, I really can’t afford them. I still drowning in student loans, and I don’t want to add a Marta’s clothes Joan‘ on top of that.”
She giggled, “Tell me, what’s your budget?”
I did some quick mental math. After joining this private hospital in LA my paycheck would be way better than at the public hospital in NY, and I wouldn’t need to rent a place for now. I thought it over and feally said, “A thousapal bucks. Payment in installments.”
Marta saw right through me. “Deal. Three months, no interest.”
I nodded, feeling a bit shy,
She winked at Paul, who gave her an olay gesture and started pulling clothes from the rack.
“Marta, to be honest, I have no value to you, and I don’t want any ties with the Caposta family. I don’t get why you’re helping me unless you’ve got some hidden agenda, 1 asked straightforwardly

Because at the wedding, I already know that Julia didn’t like you, and (don’t like Julia, Marta replied.
Her logic totally threw me oll. I frowned and mulled it over for a couple of minutes but still couldn’t make sense of it.
“Anyway, thanks,” I offered sincerely.
Paul had already brought out a bunch of outfits and was mixing and matching them on me
“I heard,” I hesitated, “I heard you’re not leaving the States this time and planning to get involved in the Caposta family’s business?”
“Who t
told you that?”
I shrugged. Guests at the wedding”
Marta lounged comfortably on a nearby chair and stretched. “Seems like gossiping is just human nature, huh? They got one thing right. I’m not planning to leave the States this time. But as for what family business I’ll be involved in, even my dad doesn’t know that, so how would they?”
Paul closed the store door and pulled the big curtain over the glass. Marta stood up and asked me to take off my T–shirt. “How long has t been since you dated? Look at your bra; it’s like, ancient. At least five years old, right? It’s all frayed from washing”
I blushed, thinking about my recent one–night stand. Luckily, I was too drunk to remember any embarrassing detalls.
“Paul, get a nice set of lingerie. You know her size,” Marta ordered.
Paul snapped his fingers and disappeared into the back of the store
Soon, they had put together two casual date outfits for me, a sexy party dress, and a professional outfit for conferences. I was wearing one of the casual outfits.
Marta stepped back, looked me over, and nodded in satisfaction.
Paul, on the other hand, kept his usual over–the–top expressions and occasionally exclaimed, “You’re so beautiful, darling. It’s for you to be a doctor; you should be an actress.”
s such a waste
Then he seemed to regret it, covered his mouth, smiled at Marta, and kissed her hand. “No, Marta, your stepsister is beautiful, but you’ll always be the goddess in my heart! Love you.”
Marta was used to his antics and blew him a kiss in return.
“Marta, you’re so beautiful. Why didn’t you become an actress?” I asked genuinely curious.
She gave me a strange look. Seeing my clueless expression, she shook her head. “I did act when I was very young. It was boring, so I didn’t like it. I prefer clothes and jewelry.”
Paul exclaimed again, “Are you really Marta’s stepsister? Don’t you know who her mother is? Her mother is a national treasure–level
actress in France-
Marta snapped, “Paul, enough with the Battery, don’t overdo it.”

Marta pointed to my old clothes and shoes. “Let Paul help you toss th. Say goodbye to the past and start a new life, Dr. Davis. You look stunning in these clothes, Let’s go.”
Paul had already packed all the shopping bags for me and warmly kissed my cheek. “Darling, you’re always welcome here.”
I wasn’t dumb; I knew all these clothes, accessories, and shoes cost way more than a thousand bucks. I felt a wave of gratitude; this was the first time since coming back to LA that I felt genuine kindness from someone.
“Merci, Madam.” I thanked her in the only French I know.
She raised an eyebrow. “Maybe you’ll be valuable if I ever get heart disease.”
