Sarah looked down and replied, “They’ve been murdered, sir.”
Still in disbelief, Leo’s fury overwhelmed him as he shouted, “You’re fired!”
Sarah was shocked. “But, sir! I haven’t done anything wrong!”
Cheryl snickered. “You haven’t done anything wrong? This is Leo’s house, not Lyra’s. Can you honestly say you haven’t done anything wrong by taking Lyra’s side, especially after she was just heard cursing Leo’s parents?”
Sarah was about to beg Leo to keep her job, but I pulled her arm and said, “There’s no need to beg him, Sarah. I want you to follow me after I move out of here.”
